RUSTY my MK2 orion
hello everyone I am new here and I thought I would show you all my mk2 orion that I call rusty, its a bit of a project as its been sat on a friends drive for about nine years,
so far on the car I have pretty much stripped the front end ready for a lot of welding
here is some pictures of rusty so far
these two are the day I got it back to my lock up
and these are from arguing with rusty bolts for two days
and just abit of the rust I need to fix
tomorrow I will spend abit of time sorting bits out sorting out my lock up and putting together a list of parts I need to find for it
enjoy

Nice to see another one being saved .
Bit of advice for you, if you plan on replacing the front panel and the slam panel on the car is ok just change the headlight sections, I've done 3 front ends on different cars over the last few years and the copy front slam panels are utter rubbish, the lower sections come off nice and easy.

well been busy this afternoon stripping the rest of the car to find all the rust, refitting the front suspension and removing the wiring loom
passenger side
drivers side
and I had to put the new alloys on as the tires were shot and I need to be able to move it about
a better picture of the front chassis
removed the rear lights
got bored so decided to put my new bonnet on just before it started raining

so its been a very long time since I have updated this
so here we go since I last posted rusty joined the rest of the Orions in ford heaven because I jacked it up and it almost folded in half,
I have since acquired a new one an Ereg this time in much better condition but the day it got delivered it looked a total mess and I almost gave up completely.
so I started to get her sorted cleared out all the scrap that was left in the car and it was not as bad as it looked unfortunately I have no photos of it when I got it home
I did have to replace all 4 shocks and springs and all 4 doors, bonnet and boot were also changed I was very glad I kept all the parts from the old car
so here is 2 pics of how she sits today
I know some people don't like modified cars but I think this is just stunning
