Mk4 Fiesta Puma Conversion
Hello,
I am the proud owner of a 1.3 MK4 fiesta and i am going to put an 1.7 puma engine in it. Firstly my fiesta is a 1997 model and i'm unsure of the puma engine year how ever i have both looms and the ECU and key. the engine comes complete with everything bar a manifold which i have already sourced.
So what i'm trying to ask is will i have or should i expect any problems while tackling this job, i will be starting it on Friday and hoping to have it on the road for Sunday.
thanks

Update
Hi just thought id update you guys, well after having no feedback on my question i still went a head with the conversion, so yesterday we managed to get the old engine out and test fit the new one, the only thing we have had to change is the driver side engine mount and the injector wiring, we had to use the injector wiring form the previous engine, but we managed to get it running, so hope fully it will be on the road by tonight.
pictures will be up soon

Nearly there
So got it all transplanted over and low and be hold the key didn't match the ecu so got another ecu with locks and all coming on Thursday so that will be that done but, i'm going to strip the bay wiring harness out tomorrow to clean it up a little as it looks a mess.
i have ordered some lovely custom hoses for it as i manged to bodge some together for now but cant stand the sight of them.
also i fired her up on the 1.3 ecu and it ran shitty obviously but then i tried to start it the next day and no luck so took the plugs out and they were soaked in oil i think the cam cover is leaking and then seeping in to the cylinders, new plugs in and cleaned the head up and all was okay.
the ecu i have coming is supposed to be already mapped to 135bhp so would i be stupid if i put an original puma manifold a exhaust system on? i might just buy the DEcat manifold for it the get a custom stainless steel system done by longlife...
How do you upload the images lol

so its guna be a pain but i need help with a few of thesse plugs, are thesse all for the rad because im going to put the rad on switch in the car...
Any one got any tips on removing the dash?

Did you change over the glads chip (inside the key) as for the dash board it quiye easy really start off with removing 3 screw at the top near windscreen,
Then where your main heater blowers are middle to the right behind a tringle cover theres a screw .
Then where the dials are the a 2 above there, then you need to remove the steering cowling and at the bottom theres a 10mm bolt remove this. Then under the centw console theres two torq bolts. Then lastly remove the end csps off dash and theres 2 bolts each side then you can remove the dash

Hey man did u start with the same kind of puma and fiesta ie u get both digital and analog I think that u have got them mixed up as when I done mine it was just plug and play I'll sort out a list of wot I used when I done mine its still up my unit

if your going digital it you'll need to virtually change to entire loom of the car to get it to work properly, you will be better of staying analogue, do you have a digital puma engine loom or analogue?

Is everything earth properly?Check the connections and make sure you haven't plugged anything into some where else by accident. Are you 100% sure the key you got matches the ECU and receiver? Its 3 wires from the receiver 2 go to ECU and one goes to the OBD2 connector in passenger kick panel. Also check the fuel cut off switch.Does the fuel pump prime? Are you getting voltage to the pump?Check the fuses in the external fuse box and check the Puma wiring for dodgy connections or breaks in the wiring.Try taping the key or chip to the ecu and see if it works that way as well. Also try disconnecting the battery and see if it resets its self.
