Default Ford fiesta mk4 4wd/rwd

hi im been given a ford fiesta mk4 3 door for free its not in bad nick but wanted to use it as a project (as im not allowed 2 drive at the mo for health reasons) so was thinking of a complete strip down and rebuild but don't wan a shitty fwd so been looking at either 4wd or rwd ive had a bit of inspiration from http://www.fiestaturbo.com/feature-c...hp-fiesta-evo/ and http://bbs.scoobynet.com/projects-40...t-project.html was wondering what other engine ideas people have had I don't mind a mid engine conversion(audi v8) but dont know if the length would be to big or a front engine 4wd e.g golf dsg running gear

Its gonna cost you big bucks either way you go.All you can do is decide on an engine and measure everything up

If you're serious about a mid engined conversion then speak to ZCars...

Forget the V8 though, a four pot is far more suitable.

decided on a saab 2.8 v6t engine with auto box mainly due to the upgrades are reasonable and cheap engines to start with and have the option of 4wd

Hi there,

How did you find doing the Saab engine conversion? Ive recently been given an 02 MK4 with a 1.25 an looking to spice it up a bit. Curious as to how you got on with the work, and if it was a simple in and out job.

Cheers, T
