Default Ford Sierra L 1983" 3d 2.0 v6 rebuild

Hello!
I would like to describe our Sierra. I and my girlfriend bought it on april this year. When we saw it first time sierra looks that:

Nice 2.0 ohc we thought... But no... Its original 2.0 cologne V6
We found the owner and bought it! That was our 5th sierra.

Some photos after first cleaning:

Previus owner has very nice ideas

On the roof, we found original wheel wrench in the german newspaper from 1986 year.

Engine sounds like a diesel, so we change the valve clearance.
Problem with sound solved!

All arms and rods was original, and had some slack, we change it for used, but still good.

Next we thought about quick repair the roost, but I ended up differently...

New dashboard for mk1

Some photos:

The cleaning, and new barbecue spit

it was not as bad as the amount of winter salt on our roads...

Stringers did not look bad, but after a thorough check them cut out and repaired

Cleaning...

We bought set of seals for engine and change all without headgaskets...

Rear beam.

New oils and...

And painting...

Some chemicals. 2x 5kg. It was for two cars..

Engine bay...

Hood underside looks bad, so we paint it...

Rear fender painted in bad conditions, but it looks pretty well

Inside...

Sorry for my bad language and thanks for perseverance in reading

The 2.0 V6 is a nice sounding engine, but rare.
same engine like in the Capris etc.

Glad you both saved another nice and rare car.

I think it might be the 2.3 v6 cologne. They made the 2.3, 2.8, and 2.9.

Fantastic work! So refreshing not to see another cosworth replica.

Very nice indeed
Good to see a normal model Ford getting some tlc

I think in the UK, we got the 2.0 Pinto instead of the 2.0 Cologne. The Sierra came with a 2.3 in the GLS I think, and the 2.8 in the XR4i

I stand corrected! I wonder if all these different sierra internals can be interchanged to create different wacky strokes?

Thx!

Yes, this is 2.0 v6, we checked the engine code, its NY. 2,4 v6 has EFI.
Now the car is registered in Poland as historic, this means that the car has different from all the plates and we don't have to pay insurance all the time for this car, only when we use it.

And that looks that
