Default Ford sierra sapphire turbo technics pinto

Hi all just got hold of this little beaut!
2.0 pinto efi turbo technics tt075

I must say I shat a brick when first driving this very unexpected delivery of power and wheelspin..

Payed £1200 for this with full history

All the plans are is to fit my sapphire cosworth alloys and a bigger intercooler and new boost hoses and then just do engine but by bit, I'm not looking for huge power but would like to see 200bhp out of it

What you guys think?

Hi guys I've hit a massive rock and an confused lol

Last night I started up the saff and let it run for 10 mins or so before I drive it, as driving up my road I noticed the rev gauge and fuel and the temp gauge was all on the bottom ( not working )
Battery light came on ect run like poo,

I'm guessing the alternator has lost its balls and given up it has a new battery on too,

I've taken leads off batt and left for 10 mins to see if that cured and now doesn't turn over fast enought like batt is flat.

If anyone can help would be great ful cheers

Make sure the leads to the battery are well connected, as a poor connection there causes those symptoms.

You can check the alternating charging voltage by measuring across the battery with the engine running, should be 14volts. This will confirm the alternator is working.

Default Sorry to bring up an old thread but I now own this car!

I found this car as an upset rolling shell in a field.
its missing its history, and missing its engine and the car is in a million bits. Does anyone know what happened to the old girl??
