Sent my diff off to bara the other day. Would have re built it myself but there going to strip and paint it and fit an up rate kit so it went there. Building a little pile of bits now so I'll tow it to work soon and fit them all and get some pics up hopefully in the next month. Also secured an aero motive fuel pump off the rodders just got to go give him some money

Ran into a small issue this morning as you do with old fords. First time I've had the beam out in over 10 years o.s is solid but there is a hole in the n.s chassis leg. Luckily the mounting bolt point is still solid so could have been a lot worse so I'm happy. Monday I'll plate it and get the beam in

I was expecting to find something it's an old car now. It could have been a lot worse it's an easy repair so I'm glad it's not too bad.

I hate welding from underneath, I would want to spin it over on a spit but all the fluids need to come out for that.

Great job your doing, the spec of your engine is the next step for me that I'm planning on doing soon.
The alternator, I take it your fitting one of marks twin scroll manifolds, just a drop bracket is not enough as the manifold catches the alternator. I milled the holes in the cast bracket that bolts to the alternator to lower it a couple of mill to clear, it's still very close, ideally u need the later 4x4 belt set up and tensioner that allows u to move the alternator away from the manifold.
