Blimey ! Andy that's a long time ago. Went 500bhp in 1999 so you must have been young at the time.

Are you going to get the seals and bearings changed on the diff? bara did an excellent job on mine and looks superb. My mk kit looks quite different in that the 2 output adapters are gold like the prop shaft one and the side mounts and big plate are all anodized black on mine.

I was going to re build it my self but I want to get the weir up rated spring kit fitted for the l.s.d so I'll most likely send it to bara. Im hoping it will not need new bearings and it will just need cleaning up flange seals and the up rate kit. They quoted me 450 for this

I couldn't be arsed to wait for it to be anodised lol so just took it like that. I'll leave the alloy bits in alloy but I'll get my mate to plate the top plate

Ah cool, it will still do the job and once the diffs are painted they look cool. What does the weir kit do? I am not sure mine has that?

Few little pics blocks having studs fitted very soon liners are in. Rods and pistons are in hand and I've payed for my twin scroll exhaust manifold. It's a long project as the cost involved is high but hopefully I may have the engine back July ish.

It was hard to get him to part with an old rocker cover for me. I think he must have a problem with what to do with the cash if he sells the bits, I wonder if the tax man might then need to know about it?????

My mate said he has to persuade him to part with the rocker and he had 20 or 30 all stacked up.

The Hatton Garden people will be drilling through his unit next, once they have unloaded all of those diamonds.

He has been done by the tax man more times than you can count on one hand lol. Stu is a hoarder I'm not sure if that's silly or sensible as the parts are not going down in value. And one thing you have to remember with stu is he don't need the money the guy is loaded

What does a head cost to have the work done such as porting etc to suit this spec?

Not too sure you would have to ask mark mine was ported a long time ago when I had 500bhp. It's just had 4 new valves and guides fitted after the piston let go. But it's yet the be modded for solid lifters.

Thanks, I doubt I will need solid lifters, I doubt I will need more than 530 bhp but the 580 is tempting if I go long stroke on the next Borg up

Small pointless up date but it adds to my record lol. Nipped to the garage to today to make sure it's not been stolen! Removed my dump valve as the new turbo will have one built in. Fitted the 20 quid blanking plug (bolt) spec-r robbed me for. Also there is a pic of my battery box in the boot and my clutch fork I modded the other day.

Funny enough lol I was chatting to him on the phone today as I ordered one of his billet supra diff covers. He has beams on the shelf ready to go. I'll be ordering one then fitting it all then I'll send the car to a1 for adjustable top mounts adjustable lower arms compression struts and a bladed front roll bar.

Yeah this is a slow project been about 2 years now lol it will come together next year. I'm going over the car front to back. It was a very fast good spec car as it was to be fair. But this is the last time I mess about with the thing so I'm doing it all then that's it no more. I'm selling my gripper diff to karl so that will pay for my aim dash. All major engine parts are with mark bar the turbo. There's a fair bit to do still but I know wear I am with it its just time

I don't think they look the same. The MT beams are toe adjustable on the outer joints, the MK ones on the inner joints (which I would prefer).
