Im not a fan of these co ers - the rears are fine as the stitches cover the contours of the lines. But on the fronts these look too in your face and a little out of place imo.

Certainly better than shrunk ones tho

i hear that mate - im using a pair of early saph front door cards which were given to me for free so i painted them satin black. The rears have been retrimmed in black suede/alcantara material as has my roof so just wanted a pair of black doorcards on the front.

Ive even bought a spare set of leather doorcards cheap but the leather has already shrunk on those so may get them retrimmed all at the same time so i have a matching set

Well I want to put it back together. I’m hoping that happens in the next year. I may send the car to a local fabricator with my old block. Get them to fit that in the car with the gearbox so they can make a gearbox mount and mod the prop. That way that’s all ready for when I get my engine

Is the engine just waiting for you to collect it now?
or still being built?

Well it’s time just gathering the last few bits then my old boat goes back together. Turbo and waste gate paid for just waiting till they turn up. I’ll bolt up the in let manifold before lifting the engine in. It’s booked into Edwards Motorsport on the 6/9 for a turbo back 3.5 inch exhaust system. I’ll bolt all my bits up the last week of August I’m looking forward to it!!

Yeah I see it up there. Be worth the wait mate. The 8474 will do 650 maybe some more. Will have to see what it makes. Be plenty quick enough for a road car

Fitted a new tiki ton clutch master to match my bearing and a new fluid pot. Also some heat reflective tape to the inner wing as there not be much room in there. Hopefully I’ll lift the engine in tonight

Great progress. The shiny parts can be changed at a later date once it up and running. What’s still to be done before starting/mapping

I’ve the last week of August off to wire the dash in fit my door cards run a live from the back to front. Finish any little bits. Overall the drive shafts bleed the brakes. Plus if it can’t go away for it. Fit the gearbox mod the cross member and the get the prop done. It gets shipped off for a full turbo back 3.5 inch exhaust system on the 6/9. Then will go to marks.

I only had to re build mine. New lay shaft new 3rd gear new synchros and bearings. I can’t remember what the cost of the bell housing conversion plate from Reyland was. I’m sure a new one is about 2500 or something

Few breather pipes to sort out. Had to order a new boost hose turbo to intercooler as the old one didn’t fit. I’ve got some nimbus sheet as well as I need to make a heat shield around the brake master. It will get there.

Been chipping away at my old smoker. Pretty much done under the bonnet now. Breather and wastegate plumbed in. Ran a live from the front to back to power it up. Started to wire in the dash and fitted the link lead to my ecu. Had a problem with my brake accumulator pump burning it’s self out as I didn’t have fluid in the reservoir lol. But changed that now. Abs light and park/brake warning lights work. Car should be going to Andy Robinson race cars this week. He will fit the tremec as they can make a crossmember and do the prop shaft at the same time. Coming together now but the dam thing is fighting me every stage lol I think it liked resting up in the garage!

Popped up and see my car today as it’s at a local specialist having the box fitted. There mod the floor build a crossmember and mod the prop shaft. Looks like there going to do the exhaust as well so could be there a while. But all things that need doing properly
