Newbie needing help.

Hey guys and girls.
Just last month I began the lengthy and unending road of modifying my MK5 fiesta (pics to follow), when I made an unbelievably stupid mistake buying pigtail rear springs (this is what happens when you don't read eBay descriptions properly..
Can anyone help with this mistake? Kinda costly considering i'm only on apprentice wages, spending half my weekly pay on them.
Anyway, heres a picture of it as it stands so far..

Got Mondeo wheels.. trying a Euro look, something different..ish.
Posted to this thread as hoping for some other ideas.. but mainly wanna stop the damn rubbing from the back!

Thanks for any type of reply in advance!

have the tyres been swapped to smaller or are they as came of mondeo? failing that roll your rear arches

Tyres look the same size as they would have been on the mondeo

Yeah still standard tyres, not worried about changing them atm. Got under the car for the first time since putting tyres on today, tyres are rubbing on the suspension strut cup.. problem is springs too low due to the springs being wrong.. does anyone know if I flip the spring the other way around will it make a difference? Rather than the pig tail end sinking into the bottom cup it may sit nicely around the top. Failing that I guess I'm gonna have to buy new rear springs.. not good.
Thinking I need a subtle kit to make it look that much lower too. Any ideas from anyone?

Sonds like you've got mk6 springs. If you've fitted them its VERY dangerous.

Got on www.zsoc.com

Buy some correct used springs

you bought the wrong springs and you still fitted them?

need changing asap, and if the wheels are rubbing on the strut mount, the springs arnt going to do anything as the wheel will still be in the same place as the strut mount doesnt move

so you need to change tyre size or get another set of wheels with a better offset to push it away from the strut, or you could use wheel spacers

I looked the code up with the company, the springs are for the fork type used on earlier fiesta models.
Cheers for the link. shall take a look in the morning.

Hmm. I'll space them out. Only problem is, that since its the wrong spring on the back, they're too close to the arch atm. when tidy ones are fitted then I can out on proper stance.
Oh and fyi, didn't realise they were wrong until I did research. Was only iffy to me after the back went lower than the front. Then found they are for the fork type strut used on earlier fiestas. Contemplated changing the rear axle, but then I thought to myself that would be absolutely stupid. Lol.

Thanks for the advice.

Just a little update. Measured out how much each axle can be spaced.
Quick question though, does anyone know if you can use standard spacers on the rear or do you use the axle spacers? Found two types on eBay so kinda confused.
And what are the rules on spacing? Am I not allowed to protrude out of any part of the arch or just the outer most part?
One more thing, does anyone know what's going on with ZSOC? I've registered, haven't received confirmation, mailed administrators.. nothing..
Or if anyone is selling springs near my area on here, that would be fannytastic!
Cheers.
