And keep the rest of the inside white? Its alot of hassle! Wouldnt know what colour to do it either!

I only thought of grey as it looks motorsport and wont wear and get messed up easily

At the time we were going to make our own custom engine and gearbox mounts throughout. Then used gary crazycages gearbox mounts which work off the standard engine mount so then had the standard one rewelded back

Just read this again right from the start. Every s1 thread makes me kick myself for selling my 1 :-(

This is going to be an awesome track car and the amount of work and attention to detail is awesome and going to pay off big time and a credit to all involved in the build.

Bet the purists are pulling there hair out reading this thread but good on you for building it how you want it.

Hat off to you sir

oh yes! Years ago when I first started I was getting all sorts of messages. Looking back the car was so clean with all the recent prices would of been worth good money now.

What cylinder head was on that engine , was it an American head if so did you or have you got any part number off the head . Was it the big port head ? As you've got the correct cam cover , have you got part number off cam cover?

Cheers paul

yes paul I believe it is. The head and block are american. I believe the inlet is also but not 100% if thats correct. Originally all built and prepared by field motorsport. The head is a big valve head.

i would have to double check regards to part numbers

Do you still own the engine? The head iam looking for has massive ports compared to a normal zetec , I've never found the parts , i.e. Inlet etc to find out what car the engine came from in America. What I really need is the part number off the head itself if you can get it

Cheers paul
