Update time, got hold of some adjustable top mounts because im going to pull the front wheels in a bit due to the larger tyres im running this time round.
The interior is totally stripped out as im fitting a new roll cage, one which runs down the A pillar and behind the dash so it eliminates the blind spot that the old cage gave.
Bought a flocked dash also as the corners need to be cut to fit the new cage and I think they look the nuts!
Test fitted the new rims too.
Fitted rose joint track ends to aid the bump steer and camber.
Gone down the forced air induction route! bought this kit of Ronnie Amis on here.
Made a heat shield because it sits close to the rad and I had no more room due to the dump valve take off.
It sits straight now, unlike in this pic as its the the only one I have but you get the idea!
Relocated the turbo cooler and mounted it so it will sit behind the bumper.
Got a dash panel made up to house my secs monitor and Turbosmart boost controller by Dave aka Monster. Came out great cheers mate.
Added a personal touch.
Don't know why this pic is upside down!
Had some time yesterday and got a bit more done. The new cage is in and fitted up most of the dash.
The car is now painted and I took some pics but my phone ran out of battery!
Cheers Jonno.
Got the door locks and handles fitted today.
Door trims back on.
Refitted new door moisture membranes.
New wing repeaters.
Centre console back in.
Refitted the original wing mirrors.
Proper smart, as said before the air filter setup is something i've wanted to do since Ronnie ran it - i'll wait to see what yours performs like
Cheers Chris, its a shame I couldn't put the filter further forward so it sat an top of the intercooler instead of the rad! The dump valve take off was in the way! Should still give plenty of air flow through the grille though.
Did some more work on the rear end. fitted the tail gate lock in and new rear lights ect
Stone chipped the outer sills before the body kit goes back on for added corrosion protection.
Fitted new wheel arch liners front and rear.
Got hold of some Dynax UC wax for the underside, it is a clear wax and dries firm.
Also notched out the intercooler air scoop so the 500 bumper will fit. Better that than cutting the bumper!
