Right, Just deleted all i uploaded last night and re done it so hopefully the links will now work!

Been cleaning and painting the engine bits lately as i still wanted the engine to look pretty

The block was re apinted in high temp engine enamel.
The sump and rocker cover in a gun metal grey / clear coat and the other ally bits in Land rover Zermat silver / clear coat.

I've had a couple of bits re plated here and there too. Nothing major, just thought as the engine was apart, i may aswell do it

While the block was with Martin @ Prime Performance, he machined it to take M12 headbolts for me so i needed to take the bolt holes out in the head from 11.5mm to 12.5mm.

I stripped the head, drilled it out then washed all the swarf out, then truck washed it, it came up real nice but when i used to build engines at Dunton, we had steam tanks so i though while the missus was mucking out the horses, i'd nip in with the head and stuck it in the dish washer
came up really nice

Then rebuilt it ready to fit.

Had a BBQ with the Twins on Sunday so while Stu washed / waxed my Mondeo, I serviced theirs, and Dave masked the head up and gave it a nice coat of Aluma blast ( a silver spray that replicates fresh ally )

Still had the Ford rear main seal insertion tool, so thought i may aswell make use of it, brand new genuine crank sensor and painted housing

Happy with the result. Few more bits to finish then wrap it back up again i suppose lol.

The Area Six exhaust manifold is for sale as i want a custom Crazycage one now so if anyone is interested, Ł250. At the mo it has a GT flange but T3 flanges are about Ł10 and about the same again to get welded on!!

Gary ( Crazycage ) has also made my MTX shafts, and a custom engine mount so i can bin off the cvh mount and run a rear mount alternator.

Pics to follow when they've landed.

Thought i'd better add to the thread as it's been a while ( i'm still doing bits and bobs when i get time !!! )

Ever since i had my inlet made by Gary Crazycage, I wanted him to build me an Exhaust manifold so i put my Area Six one up for sale and spoke to Gary about what i was after.
Also i wanted a turbo hanger made, as usual, Gary has done an outstanding job.

I have also refurb'd my rear hubs, painted them in Jag Lunar grey, fitted new bearings and long studs.
Bought extra long, open end black alloy wheel nuts,
Sold my RS2K MTX in favour of a Mondeo hydraulic clutch MTX,so Gary is also making me the top mount and rear roll restrictor.
Bought a brand new header tank
Hopefully sometime next week i'm going to pop over to my mates unit to remove my Avo coilovers so i can take them to Avo and get them refurb'd and see what the spring rates are.
So i AM still getting on with it!

theres plenty room if you move the coil pack mate .

ps ive done one on a mega spec zetec running a 4'' down pipe in a s2 with a bigger than standard servo and that fits down the back of the box

Wasn't going to bother lightening the flywheel, cars I have been in with lightened ones, the revs seem to drop off quickly.
Well chuffed with the manifold, as with all my bits from Gary Crazycage. So far I've had inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, gearbox mount, roll restrictor, engine mount, driveshafts and custom oil breather from him. If I lived closer to him, my car would be there for a down pipe, full exhaust and boost pipes! Can't fault his work.
