Only a small update.
Still collecting bits..
I sold my old tubular exhaust manifold in favour of this area six one that Creator was selling..
Being stainless i thought i'd give it a quick mop, it came up ok
But, i thought i'd give it a go with some 320, 400, 500 then some 800 ( only quickly by hand ) then i mopped it with some Autosol, came up much better
I'll probably be wrapping it with that titanium heatwrap anyway but just wanted to see how good it'd come up! I also need to chop the turbo flange off and put a stainless T3 one on there.
And took delivery of my new T34 and cossie .48 housing ( went for a .48 to make it as responsive as possible, but if i need / want a .63, it's no biggy!! )
Courtesy of CR Turbos
This looks like a T2 turbo to most of you's lot's turbo's
After missing a few rover inlets on e bay and realising that they still need some bits doing to work, I thought i may as well get something thats made to do the job and will still be suitable if one day i plan an increase in power so I have spoken to Gary aka Crazycage and he's making me one of his custom side fed inlets with velocity stacks.
He's also making me a custom breather box that will sit between the baulkhead and scuttle on the passenger side.
The fiesta is at my mates unit at the mo as i've been doing an efi conversion, abs removal and various other jobs on someones car.
I need to shoot over there one day and remove everything inside as he's going to paint it inside for me
I've just ordered a new bathroom suite so a bathroom overhaul is next on the cards to keep wifey sweet

Coming along nicely mate!! Manifold cleaned up well!!
Im the same as you regarding inlet....im going to get Crazycage to make me one when i get funds gathered up!! I got fucked over by some cunt on fiestaturbo with a rover turbo inlet manifold!! Gary has already made my exhaust manifold for me and its absolute pornography!!!
Cant wait to see more progress on this!! My 2.1 zt is currently being ran in and once its running sweet etc, and i get the inlet and an omex sorted....im gonna get it pulled off the road again and get it finished off properly!

Looking awsome gadget mate!!! I would defo consider getting a exhaust off crazycage though, take a look at the collector and equal length headers for one reason, and also he can add decent support brackets to neat the turbo to take the strain of the manifold bolts. But if you got you current one at a steal then fair enough.
Awsome progress pal

Gary Crazycage sent me a couple of pics of the inlet so far, this one i think shows the manufacture the best.
Originally, the inlet was going to be side fed with the throttle body angled backwards slightly to point around the back of the servo but then i had the idea of a bottom fed inlet with the throttle body pointing downwards allowing me to run the boost pipe down the back and then through the sump like the original downpipe would be!
I thought this would be a lot neater in the engine bay, a lot less clutter and different to the norm.
I text Gary with my thoughts and an hour later i had a text back with a couple of pictures saying " Like this? "
When i replied saying that was just what i had in mind, a little later, i got a couple more pics.
I am well chuffed as it's exactly what i had in mind.
Ive ordered the throttle linkage and cable bracket from Alan at Autospecialist that goes with the Hart style inlet that allows the throttle cable to be pulled from the back so the cable will route better. They are being sent straight to Gary so he can mock up the mount for the cable bracket.

Just been sent some pics of my helmet.
It was only a cheapy one but i wanted it done up a bit, my brother is a sign writer / vinyl sticker maker so i gave it to him and left him to it.
He asked me what i wanted but i had no clue, all i did want was some airtec stuff on there and something about my kids....
I think he's done me proud, well chuffed ............
Obviously not airbrushed only vinyl but what do you guys think?

Not really done too much with the car lately, it's at my mates unit out of my way in the garage as i've doing my bathroom in my spare time.
Still collecting bits though.
I have bought an Aeromotive A/1000 fuel pressure regulator and all the -6 goodridge fittings / hoses i need for it and my fuel rail.
Also stripped the throttle body, had the inlet side enlarged and tapered down to the butterfly then gave it a good clean up ready for paint.
I decided against original looking silver and the normal crackle black so i had it etched primed at work, Landrover LAGO grey, then 2k clear. I chose this colour as its quite a dark grey but has a lot of purple metallic in it, i think it has come out really nice and i've decided to do my inlet manifold the same.
While it was apart, i had the linkages re zinc coated gold and the springs silver ( clear the platers call it )
You can see the top linkage isn't standard as i'm using one of Airtec's Hart style ones and their cable bracket to suit my manifold better and making the routing of my throttle cable neater.
Tried to show the colour better here
I forgot to get the idle adjuster screw re coated, i have cleaned it up best possible but i will get it coated to match the rest.
Whats peoples thoughts on the colour?

Well, got the inlet painted last night and it's come out nicely. Happy with the result.
I was going to leave the fuel rail silver or get it anodised red to go with the fuel reg but i think i'm going to do it the same colour as the inlet so it blends in more.
Colour shot
going to get the throttle cable bracket zinc coated to match the bits on the throttle body too i think.

Finally got my block painted black at the weekend as for the first time in months, it wasn't cold in the garage.
I moved a load of crap out of the way so i could move the engine stand forward and changed it from blue to gloss black.
And had these pics sent through from Raj@Autoflock, had my dash done in a dark grey and the binnacle around around the clocks will be black.
Still got some of my bathroom to get finished and i've been building a booth and reception area in a mates new unit so still not actually touched the car since november but i've got the buzz to get back on it so trying desperatly to get all my other jobs tied up!!
