Wanted to get it out the garage today but with the weather being shite all day it pretty much stayed in the garage, got hold of a new steering wheel too, found the old sparco one to small and decided I wanted a suede one too so picked up this motacorsa one in 350mm diameter.
Also decided to try out this quick release steering wheel boss as I will eventually get some bucket seats fitted so thought i'd see how this goes too...

Picked up these clear glass front windows a few months back and got them fitted all back into the car with the original electric window motors.
Received some more parts in the post this week too so an update and more pics too follow soon of them also...
Also only just recently noticed that my alternator fan blades had just slightly started to catch the bottom radiator hose, (i've already fitted a super short alternator belt and the custom rad is as far forward as it can be) managed to remove the hose and cut it down an inch or so and also removed the alternator and took the fan off it and trimmed down the ends of the blades a little before giving it a little paint and finally refitting it.

Ok didn't get to start on fitting the bonnet catches (but did manage to drill the old ones off) but as the weather was good I managed to drive it out of the garage and started refitting the carpet back in along with some other trims, also took the stereo out as you couldn't really hear it much anyways!
A few shots of the car too while I was at it, slowly getting there, more updates soon.....

So now I have the seat I also ordered up some steel side mounts, then once they had arrived I set about modifying the standard recaro seat runners to suit the new seat mounts.
First I got a strip of appropriately sized steel and once measured up I drilled, tapped and studded the holes to mount the side mounts on...
Had the studs welded in too then cut them down...
Then measured it all up to where it needed welding...
Then masked it all up for paint...

Funnily enough yeah there's been a little progress, will get some pics up this week too hopefully.
The new seat is now in, carpet is also back in too.
Got the interior door panels to back on, also when fitting the carpet I noticed the heater matrix has started to leak so have one of them to fit also.
Been cutting the bonnet at the weekend for new aero catch bonnet pins which are almost finished, all the stickers have also been removed now.
Once these few bits are done gotta change the oil and fuel filters as well as a new set of plugs then hopefully it'll be ready for an mot in a few weeks.
Will tie up any other bits that will need doing as well and all being good I hope to be driving it up to Central Day..... Fingers crossed....

Seat runners all painted up and seat now fitted into car along with the carpet, seat is still a little high for my liking so need to play with it still and try and get it positioned lower...
