Right update time ,car is back together and up and running ,done about 150 miles in it ,all good bar a whining diff ,so will swop this over with the white one as we know that is good ,few pics all back together
still to work over the front panel
Few of the dealer stickers etc
couple of interior shots
On the front of the bonnet left side is some damage ,so we got a bonnet from storage and a mint sunroof panel ,and took them up to our mate scott at Colour Care dent repair ,to have painted black
minty bonnet and sunroof panel
Left them with scott ,while we were up there we booked the car in to have some paint less dent removal done by him ,scott prob worked on this car 20 years back as he worked in my fathers bmw garage as a painter

Reflection of dent on panel (look at the grey tool box )
Scott working his magic
Look at tool box now
dented door
After each dent has been done, a little nib down and polish
Couple of upward dents on the boot
A small selection of the tools
Another dent ,look at reflection on breeze block wall under wall light
All done ,going back in a few weeks to get some bits of paint work done ,and the bonnet and sunroof panel on ,All in all scott got rid of about 20 dents around the car ,very happy
An old rover scott has just painted

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Your panel beater use glue?
Currently doing alittle training at work with the bars and glue. It's gonna take a few years to get good but it's a handy trade to know.
When's it being lowered?

Right update time ,its common on these engines for the head bolts to snap off while driving and punch throught the head ,so some new bolts were ordered ,whilst taking the first one out it was noticed that the head gasket looked on its way out ,so off came the head .
Head gasket going around number six ,just caught it in time
The alternator came off and was given a quick freshen up
A few brackets painted
The rad in the white car was fairly new so given a quick refurb and swopped over along with the gearbox oil pipes
Head was taken away by our mate doug and given a freshen up
de coking the block
A few days later they was back to build it up

Car is all back up and running ,time to get it up to scott to get a few bits of paint done ,took it up there and stripped it down
As we took the bonnet a few weeks earlier scott had the inside painted so we fitted it on the car for the outside to be done
bonnet before
Boot lid below the spolier had crazed paint so this was being done
Below the back light and the middle of the back panel had rust issues so these were sorted
And both drivers doors ,mark under moulding and dent on front ,and dent on rear above moulding can just see it
