My Golf GTI runaround tidy up
Picked up my new runabout today!
I bought it from another member on here.
Took it straight to the bodyshop to have the unfinished bits, er, finished! Lol!
It's having both sides painted as the wings were fitted but not yet painted, a few rust bubbles on both the doors and there's a small blister right in the middle of one of the rear quarters. There's also a small blister below the o/s rear light so that's being done as well.
The bodyshop will also be refitting the plastic colour coded wheelarch extension thingys too. The arches have been cut away to make room for the 18" BBS rims.
It's got a few nice bits on it too!
Gaz coilovers, stainless exhaust and decat pipe, heated leather recaro's etc. Only 52k miles too!
Pics:
It's only a 2.0 8v so it's never going to set the world alight but I'm positive it'll be infinitely better than what I'm currently driving about in:
Thanks to Charlie of CWF Recovery (07799 660431) for picking up and dropping it off for me today!

Someone with great taste, and who has too many unfinished projects maybe?!
Those wheels were a mission to fit - they said you cant fit 8x18s on a mk3 and drop it - yes you can! 80 and 60mm!!
VR6 has a deeper front chin spoiler than the others FYI
Make it mint Gary as it was before!

Do like mk3s. Had a Colour Concept with a VR6 lump in it.
Good call on putting the arch trims back, a lot of people leave them off but I much prefer them on.

Ok, I nipped up the bodyshop earlier to put it all back together.
The paint was still quite soft so hadn't been mopped yet so it's got to go back in a couple of weeks to be sorted.
Still got to fit the sill trims on and I've got to get some new fittings to refit the side trims properly and give it a good old clean.
Got a couple of issues to sort out like the indicators not working, side repeater wiring, a bit of a crunch every now and then when selecting 1st gear and a couple of other odds and sods.
A couple of pics.
Hopefully I'll get the indicators fixed and it'll have an MOT tomorrow!
