Default Rs Turbo - Quirky Fault..help required

Hi ,

My fuel pump primes when i put my hazards on/off on my series 1 , also when i play with the lights . ive changed the stalk for a brand new one and its still doing it...very odd ..im guessing wiring but it was all fine...the wiring hasnt been butchered..any suggestions ? earths seem ok .. thanks

Not sure if it will be the same in your case, but the bottom of the fusebox on my old s2 got wet and was full of crud, it gave me all sorts of problems with lights coming on when they shouldn,t ect. Might be worth a check. Forgot to say, check underneath the dash where the relays are are check what sort of condition the holders are in where they plug in.

hi mate sounds like an earth fault probably on fuel pump relay/light relays check for corrosion on relays and earth terminals hope this helps

will do thanks guys, its odd, i must have knocked something whilst playing..really bizzarre..turned it over with a spanner on the bottom pulley and it primes again lol...maybe its a very tetchy wiring issue..will investigate tomorow..ive been pouring over the wiring diagrams, to my knowledge there are only 4-5 major earth points ? any cheeky ones that people miss ? cheers
