Default my xr2i turbo resto

at the start of october i decided to take my car off the road an do a full bare resto on it,after owning it for 7 yrs its gone from a standard 1.6 xr2i then i turbo'd it an made it into a frst rep,
so far iv replaced the drivers side front inner wing panel due to a bad repair after an accident yrs ago,cut out the rust under the usaul petrol cap problem an now im ready to start on the underside.
a few pics as to where i m up to

as it was

Thought I'd post up a few pics of my gearbox my brother took it to college an stripped it down an gave it a once over an freshened it up with new sills an gaskets, I haven't paint 2k before with a compresser so I don't think it's come out to bad considering that, the fuel tank an calipers will also be painted the same grey

Iv got a spare set of bolts from an old box that I'm going to get pasivated silver that will then replace the painted bolts

Finally finished welding the engine bay,got rid of a few unused holes and it's now in primer,iv also painted thd engine block ready for the sump to be fitted when my new gasket arrives, got to paint rocker cover aswell
Iv also fitted my zink plated bolts in the gearbox looks better than just leaving them painted

Small update I decided to give painting the inside of the shell a go myself it's not 100% but I'm happy with it,il be putting the full trim back in so none of it will be seen anyway but wanted it to have it that if you lifted the carpet the whole car is the same colour, the moonstone looks better in the flesh you can't really see the blue/purple tint to it in the pics

Iv also bolted the gearbox back on the engine I was also given a glove box light an switch from a mates car so that's been fitted along with the ecu holder made up as I didn't want it just laying about the glove box once its all done

Sort of resto i'd love to do but i have to keep telling myself that mine's a track car lol.
Where did you get the spit / jig from? Would make my underside clean up a great deal easier!
