Hi Everyone


I'm starting this build thread up of my mk4 escort ghia 5 door automatic, It's done 83k miles an its in great condition so I feel a bit bad to stirp all the interior out an use it on the track!!

I want to zetec it as N/A would be a great revy and nippy engine but I would also like to use the rs turbo engine but I can't find a rotten or cheap whole rs t to take bits from.

Go for it! A zetec will go nicely in there! Some decent 2nd hand suspension, some bigger brakes (cossie 2wd or Focus ST170!) and lose the weight. Sorted!

Ok then, I dont mind the merchanical side of things ie fittig engine etc just worried about the ECU plus as it's a automatic don't the ECU stop's the car from starting unless it's in park or netural? If so how would I get round this?

use a rs turbo box . look on the rs turbo bits for sale section i'm sure u can get some good deals.

bin the auto box, fit a complete zetec and a ib5 box

Mundeanos can be bought for peanuts now. Break the rest of the car on fleabay and you've got a free engine!

I used to have a FRP in my mk5 fiesta which ran beautifuly and reeved like madl!!
