Hi, my names Rich or Ricky, ive been a member on FiestaOwnersClub.com for a year or so, im looking at buying a 1.8TDCi Focus Mk1.5 early next year but hears my fiesta for now
I brought my fiesta 1.3 Finesse in July 2010. It had around 68000 on the clock.
Done a few subtle mods and a couple of stand out ones too !!
Interior Mods
Brought a cheap second hand head unit just so I could play cds until I could afford to replace it.
Zetec S dial conversion (took mileage up by around 19k )
Green filter removed from dials and bulbs swapped for blue LEDs
Puma/Zetec S dash surround, Heater Control Panel, CD Fascia etc…
All switches and clock have been swapped for ones with blue LEDs.
Blue LED interior light panel.
Custom made parcel shelf with 2 Vibe 6x9s.
Replaced second hand head unit with an In-phase one.
4” Alpine speakers in OEM position (didn’t have OEM speakers
Relocated 12V socket.
Front door Speakers replaced by 5.25” Edge speakers.
Replaced OEM tweeters with Edge ones.
Blue leather gear knob
12V toggle switch for DRLs
Footwell lights
Fluffy dice
Full set of 'new' seats
Exterior Mods
Replaced wheel trims (after I lost one )
Replaced OEM headlight and sidelight bulbs for Ultra bright headlights and ice blue sidelights. (gone)
Stainless Steel rear window bolts.
‘Finesse’ badges removed from sides.
Smoked side repeaters.
Swapped OEM headlight clusters for Angel eyes.
Replaced all sidelight bulbs in the Angel eyes for white LEDs.
Daytime Running Lights. (replaced)
Roof Strips sprayed satin black.
De-badged Phase 1 Zetec S grill
Ford rear mud flaps and plain front mud flaps
Peco XR3i Exhaust
Hopefully many more to come !!
Plans and Dreams !! ( ~ next to ones that stand a chance of happening !!)
Full ZS kit
ZS grill (Phase 1 preferably) ~ debadged one hopefully at FF
Alloys (ZS preferably)
Colour code - washer jets, bump strips and handles ~
Lower -40mm
Spray roof strips satin/gloss black
Replace DRL Units for flexi LED strips
Spray rocker cover and ‘other bit !!’ silver
Get dent in passenger side pulled out and re-sprayed ~ being done soon !!
There are others but cant think right now….
Right time for photos,
how it looked when i brought it,
and heres a few photos of mods through the last year and how it looks now,
(chrome window bolts)
replacement seats (old ones were buggered !!)

Looked better with the finesse trims on, normal front lights etc.
If your going to modify a car try and do it properly. Looks like youve just bolted a load of cheap tat on the car.
I dont mean to offend, its a good base, consider some Zs bumpers and decent suspension. At least then later on you could consider a puma conversion or something.

as i said im selling it soon, so all the mods/aftermarket parts will be coming off and sold on. trying not to spend anymore money on it to be honest. and im not offended, every one is entitled to thier own opinion (Y) my budget has been/is very tight, im an apprentice carpenter and have little spare money really. i did consider ZS bumpers but didnt see the point as its not a ZS and never will be.

I absolutely love this car the beautiful colour very tasteful mods, nothing looks out of place all it needs is some lowering springs and some respectable alloys off a zetec s, plus other than the engine being 20 odd years old and having very small power output what is wrong with it i owned one of these for a year and it never skipped a beat despite being big mileage and having been kept in poor condition it is literally a bullet proof engine, lay off the lad hes doing what he thinks looks good and personally i very much agree with his TASTEFUL mods.

ok thats fine, and tbh for the Ł500 you spent on it it was a bargain. If you do end up getting a focus, have a look at some of the cars on the site and draw some inspiration from them.... It's good to be able to look at the finished article and decide if it works for you.
P.s, as you were saying about it not being a zetec s and that it never will be... I can honestly say that some of the best cars on here came from humble beginnings, it's where the journey ends that counts

IMHO all i'd have done:
colour coded wing mirrors
Replace front bumper for the zetec bumper (same style but has fogs in)
Climair wind deflectors for the front doors
Puma Alloys (the millennium 7 spokes)
clear side repeaters
de-badged
doesnt need anything else, just my opinion mate, but good on ya for doing it how ever you want it, its your car and your cash at the end of the day

first alloys i had on mine were puma 7 spokes they came on the car but they looked horrible and buckled on a foot deep pothole at like 10mph :S i much prefer zetec s alloys but as they say each to their own.

10K+ Poster!!
I don't think its too bad, be boring if we were all the same, lowering and alloys would set it off but TBH id you are going to move on soon I wouldn't bother, just put the cash towards the next car.

My mam had a dog of a Mk5 1.25. I borrowed it to go down to my then girlfriends and it was excellent fun to chuck around the lanes.
Can imagine a well sorted one to be a proper little weapon.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
I remember doing PDI's on mk5 Fiestas like these one summer, oh how fun it was to jump in one that had been on the compound all day with no aircon, sunroof etc. As Glen said smart little cars but rust far to easily
