Default RS2000 F2 Tarmac Rally Car. 2014 photos added

Well where to start really!!

I have been building this for about 3years as its being done in between customers cars. I started of building an RS2000 rally car with the idea of using the best parts I can source (after my sapphire cosworth rally car). Parts have been sourced from escort F2 kit car, escort cosworth gpA and WRC and some parts machined/fabricated by myslef.

Its not far off being completed now and there is about 5/6months left of buying lots of little bits as with any project. Any way the pics!!!

How I got it

ATM Sport still sells the headlight covers as far as I know, not that I'd buy anything from him unless I had no choice

Think they're about Ł150, but you only get the fibreglass cowls and backing plates for that, you have to buy your own lights and get them mounted and lined up yourself.

Indicators are just standard MK5 Escort ones, so they're cheap enough.

Lights are from atm

The kit I sell through my business as I have moulds or access to moulds for nearly all parts.

I have seen a cage he welded into a MK6 GTi last month and it's mint.

He's built this as an all out rally car thats going to no doubt get pranged and bent here and there so looks and don't think were on top of Matts tick sheet.

He's rivvet the kit on in preperation for hitting hay bales, as he knows it will happen

Crikey, at first I just thought it was going to be a normalish replica, clearly not !

Some proper parts on that, keep at it, really nice to see something a little different.

Oh and that slide throttle is a thing of beauty

Cheers. Love the slide boddies myself. Best feature I think.

I do a lot of work on the ex max power RS2000 (pink one) and that has slide boddies, sounds amazing!!

Without doubt, that or the tca's !

Seriously well specced car, hope it goes as well as it looks, I'm sure it will.

As for the Max Power car, nice in its day, not a patch on yours though.

Seriously well specced car, hope it goes as well as it looks, I'm sure it will.

As for the Max Power car, nice in its day, not a patch on yours though.
Yeah, could have bought one the money I have spent lol. But its more fun doing it yourself. The car will be used for tarmac rallying and that is always in my mind when building it and fabricating parts, "is it right" "is it strong enough" "can it be improved" etc
