Fiesta Mk3 project
hey guys, Im just starting out modding my 1.1 mk3 fiesta but cant really find many parts for it, im considering an engine swap but havent done it before so dont want to put anything too different in it, also looking for any other worthwhile performance mods? il be greatful for any ideas or advice

As above, get a bargain xr2i from ebay, better with the zetec one but depends what is out there. Sit the 2 cars side by side and swap over the parts that you want, engine, box and wiring, brakes and possibly the suspension. Easiest way to get the extra power straight out the box.
If you can find a rotten RST with a good engine would be even better.

As said already really, RST would be better, but an xr2i would be a heap more fun than the 1.1, if you've got the money after then look at the usual mods, exhaust system, manifold, cone filter/panel filter, a lumpy cam and map/chip, not sure whether the ecu was a chip job or if it can be remapped instead.
Some lower and stiffer springs with some half decent tyres will see you through the corners, even better if you strip the back end out if you don't mind the extra noise
