well just a small update here. I turned the car around on saturday 29/1/11.
it hasn't been out of the garage since august last year, anyway i turned it round and its now back in the garage ready for the n/s to be sorted and repaired, new sill and a pillar repairs are needed, and the rear outer arch needs a few bits replacing, here's a pic from when i pushed the old gal out into the daylight.

Feb 6th 2011

This weekend i made a start on the n/s sill. it didnt look too bad at first but after inspection with the wire wheel and removing a tub of filler i was left with a shit sill . it had been plated and bodged up at some point. after cutting it out i found the inner sill wasnt in the best shape too. Pics below are of the sill before and after cutting. im also working on repairing the inside floor/bulkhead area atm too so theres a few pics of that with this update. Got a coat of paint on the o/s inner wheel arch too.

20/2/11

Hello, been a while since i updated, iv been working on the passenger side inner and outer sill. it was pretty rottern but iv been busy repairing the inner sill and putting a new outer sill on too. i started to repair the rear wheel arch as well, it had a few rusty bits so they have now been sorted. pics below.

Just got the a piller and passenger floor to sort now, then its onto the rear of the car and underneath! Its comming along slowly!

wow first update in well over a month! been real busy with other stuff so the escort hasn't been seeing much attention.
i repaired the passenger a pillar and sill , as you will know from a few posts back it was a bit of a rotter! got a few other bits to do to finish the sill so pics of that will follow. The passenger floor has also been repaired and pics of that will follow too. got the inner front arch all primed and painted this weekend. pretty happy with how it came out. heres a few pics. Im back on track with the car now so more updates soon!
