Has anyone done it before

Probably, easy enough to do.

You will need either a manta gearbox or a bellhousing adaptor to convert the xe to type 9 fitment.

Distributor is the only issue but if its going on throttle bodies you won't need one, if your using a standard engine use the later coilpack engine as the phase sensor doesn't stick out far.

Ive not done it, but have seen it done, its pretty trivial TBH

The wiring is just half a dozen wires, the engine goes straight onto an adaptor plate SBD sell for a type 9 box.

Then you just need XE rwd bits basically.

Not sure I would bother though! I love the XE, always have done, but its getting pretty long in the tooth now!
