xe into a sierra sapphire 1.8 has anyone done this is it a easy conversion& how much
Has anyone done it before
|
Probably, easy enough to do.
You will need either a manta gearbox or a bellhousing adaptor to convert the xe to type 9 fitment. Distributor is the only issue but if its going on throttle bodies you won't need one, if your using a standard engine use the later coilpack engine as the phase sensor doesn't stick out far. |
Ive not done it, but have seen it done, its pretty trivial TBH
The wiring is just half a dozen wires, the engine goes straight onto an adaptor plate SBD sell for a type 9 box. Then you just need XE rwd bits basically. Not sure I would bother though! I love the XE, always have done, but its getting pretty long in the tooth now! |
Fit a Honda S2000 engine instead
