It's not mine, mrs' aunty's car. It' no. 67 though.
Dropped off this morning, it's been sitting for a couple of years. They originally took it off the road when clutch died, abs light appeared etc. It's my job to get it back on the road!

Looks like a similar list to mine!
Good to see you're changing cabin filter, people do tend to ignore them. Just changed one on the one I'm working on and it was the original one weighing a ton because it was solid with dirt. Blowers work a treat afterwards.
Fired no. 67 up yesterday! Just done.. New clutch and slave, new brake fluid, new front discs, cleaned up front calipers, new oil & filter, air filter, cabin filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, cleaned up rear discs & pads and refurbed sliders, painted rear calipers, fitted new rear abs sensors & repaired gearstick gaitor.
Still got front abs sensor to do, but that's pretty much it. Then it'll be mot time.
Not sure if you've got all the service bits but i found a seller on ebay doing the ngk platinum plugs for £14.36 inc delivery, thought that was pretty good.

Right i've made a start on replacing the suspension, and like most things. I have opened a big can of worms.
£600 lighter from ford, plus a few £100 from other places here and there and i have 60% of the stuff i need.
So the Fat Cat is up on stands, rear beam has been removed and striped. Ready for Shot blasting and powder coat. Rear suspension is off and ready to be replaced.

Been a little while since i had an update, manly as i have been to busy to do a lot with the FRP and as well as lack of time to sort out some issues i have been having with some parts.
So the next thing on my list was to sort out some new rubber (Yokohama Parda Spec 2 215/40/17) and to give the alloys a good clean/polish and wax. I started be removing the old tires kindly done by Universal tires for free, so started with a happy face and a set of alloys with no rubber.
On to the cleaning, sorry for the lack of photos of the doing the process as i was doing them in my lunch breaks at work to get them done. The alloys was jet washed off at high pressure around 200PSI at 60 degrees to keep my hands warm while holding the lance. I then sprayed Valet PRO Bilberry Wheel Cleaner liberally and agitated with some bushes. I left the alloys to soak for 10 mins or so while i had my lunch (Beans on Toast if anyone was interested).
Once i had refueled i cracked on and rinsed off the Bilberry to leave some clean alloys, i most note they have never been this clean since the day i brought the FRP and was the first time using the cleaner so very pleased and happy with the results. Next up i dried the alloys with a Autobrite drying towel ready for the clay.
The clay of choice was Sonus Ultra Fine Clay with Meguiars Last Touch as the lube, once i had clayed the alloys i applied 3 coats of Super Resin Polish by Auto Glym using an applicator pad and buffed with a micro fibre cloth. I was very pleased after the polish stage which had really brought out the sparkle of the alloys. Now on to the final step before i had the new Yokohama Parda Spec 2 tires Fitted. I applied 2 coats of DoDo Juice Skull candy Hard Wax to give a small amount of protection, main reason as i wanted to try a hard wax on my Alloys.
I then headed back to Universal tires who kindly refitted the new tires with new Ford 909 Valves and had them balanced.

A couple of weeks ago I took a few parts to be blasted and powder coated, manly as I wanted everything to look a bit tidier and to have some more protection in the coming years.
So I dropped off the rear beam, wishbones and 2 new Rear brake disc splash shields to be coated in black. Using plascoat as the type of powder even tho it is about 30% more expensivce. Plascoat is fair better suited to car parts then normal powder as it is resistant to cracking, peeling or chipping as well a Superior resistance to salt, sea, sand and sun.
I have also bolted on the new ball joints onto the wishbones and am ready for the new bushes to be pressed in like the ream beam.
I’m very happy with the quality and finish witch I got back and only coat me £100 + £20 (20%VAT), and I will recommend Maldon Shotblasting and Powder Coating to anyone (http://ctc-powder-coating.co.uk/).
Now is the part where I say I have all the nice new shiny Bushes pressed in, but unfortunly the welding snapped on the bolt on my press. So will have to get a garage to do it some time this week.
You will see in some of the pictures below of the press. Since I last updated I have removed the all of the puma builds stickers and badge as well as the number plates. The stickers was on the to back side windows, the rear and the front as well. All come off with a slight hand from missus’s fingernails.

After all the trouble i had at the weekend and the press failing on me, i dropped off the rear beam and the wishbones to the garage i use down the road.
2 Days later and £20 Lighter i have now have nice shiny bushes which have been nicely pressed in to the right locations. Very happy with the results and i am looking forward to fitting the ream beam with new suspension on Monday.
Once i got the wishbones and beam back i gave them a quick wipe down then applied a coat of Super Resin Polish from Autoglym. Once buffed up i then applied a coat DoDo Juice skull candy to add a little protection.

It’s been a little while since I had a bit of an update. But none the less I have made some small progress over the past week or so.
The delay in rebuilding the front as I was waiting on some new Pistons for the Front callipers from Hi-Spec as well as front Discs. But manly because I had been waiting for 3 months for a LH Knuckle from Pumabuild which I finally got when I travelled to go and get it.
So with all the parts to finish her, I begin to rebuild the front. First I had to get the hubs pressed into the knuckles. Which didn’t really go to plan, On the first attempt with the RH Knuckle as I got ¾ of the way while pressing the hub in the bearing sized up and became unusable. So a new bearing was needed for the knuckle but I couldn’t wait for Ford to get me one so opened up one of my other spare RH knuckles so I could get the hubs pressed in and on the car.
Second time luck, it worked a treat, so I pressed in putting the front suspension arm into the knuckle and began re attaching everything. Everything was going smoothly until I got to change the track rod ends, which after being on the car for 11 years are not playing the game. So that’s a job for next weekend and a blowtorch.
So very slowly getting there, with only the front discs/callipers, Bleed Brakes, Try and get here to start, Sort tracking and MOT.
So im hoping for it to be done for the 1st June and if not RS Day in July.
