havent been on hear in time over 6 months and your still going strong

the fiesta dont look half bad sell the mondy for a tasty profit

remove that sunstripe boyy
and those seats if you like them keep them it dosent really get to me that much as it aint my motor just WHY???

rub back filler prime and then top coat those sills
and get the rite exhaust sorted for it
if i see that sunstripe in the flesh i will peel it off myself

good work on the car front just dont be temted by those manky universal fit bits that were so popular in the 90s

don't let them get to you, every bad mod you do makes mine look better lol!
when you think of something to do, have a search to see how it looks and ask opinions of someone not really in the know on how it looks or sounds, then ask someone with a technical opinion.
styling is an individual thing, so what ever pulls on the heart strings goes really.
some don't like my wheels, i don't really care to be honest as they're a stop gap till i can afford some nice speedlines, and as for my 4" exhaust, function over fashion.
but i do agree that less is more, most of my mods are performance and structural and less on the outside.

for a look at mine, follow the link below my sig pic.

i would say no to limo black tints as it would look rubish but a subtle tint could look ok
as for a cheap alarm, would probably be a waste of money tbf maybe look at getting a propper immobilisher or as has been said a removable steering wheel

Right ideas ideas ideas in my head
Im never gonna sell this car (it can only go up in value year by year) so it will have a zetec one day, no rush as insurance would be stupid.

Dunno wheather to go for the stripped out look (roll cade one day, strut braces), tint rear windows a bit and sort the little dings on the bodywork just get it looking sorted, its well maintained but could do with a sprouse up on the outside.

Ordered a new exhaust its a 12" weld in pipe (not gonna say what make it is as ill probily get slated) it will sound good though, ill put a vid on when its fitted early next week.

Any extra ideas will be appriciated and some pics for inspiration interior and exterior

it's not going to go up in value mate, its worth £300... take off all the crap you've added to it and it might be worth 500, but the fact is it's a poverty spec 950 fiesta thats been ragged. not really a collectors car is it...?

the mk1s are going up in value really quick! but the mk2s have always been cheap as chips and i think it will be a few years yet before the price starts to push up!
the price of the car in bits outways its value, so the cheap ones get bought and broke up for parts or ragged about and scrapped. when the scruffy ones run out the barn finds and rubbish will come out, then when they run out the majority will be clean looked after examples worth more and then when demand outways the supply the price will begin to climb!

Default Upgrades sorted

This is the XR2 exhaust i bought a few week back but sadly wasnt loud enough for me so had to be tweeked a little. so ive cut out the silencer and welded in a performance 12" round silencer and it sounds real nice and throughty with nice popping, only slight. More enjoyable to drive now ive got a decent tone from the exhaus that can be heard, especially good in tunnels it just takes over. The tail pipe looks the nuts aswell, think you'll agree on that.

2" tail pipe. paint black or leave it??????????? Heard somewhere that they was black from new.

Right now for the good bits
Had 2 days hols from work so got to work on the fiesta, sorted the exhaust yesterday and today was Cosworth brake upgrade time.
Everything is pretty much double the size, Sierra 4x4 pads

RS2000 discs 260mm vented

Sierra Cosworth 4x4 front caliper. yes it is still red, just didnt get round to painted them silver but defo will do, just wanted to make sure everything fitted so it wans't a waste of time painting them then not been able to use them.

Here's the result everything fitted first time perfectly, no issues atall, didnt even have to shave down the carrier which someone on here said so pleased with that.

All bled up nicely and the brakes are rapid now so well worth the time, effort and money. £123 ish to complete the upgrade. Now need to get braided hoses as pedal is still a little spongy and someone on here said new hoses will eliminate this, is this true ??

Defo need atleast 15" wheels for this upgrade

Really pissed off just found this on n/s/f wheel f$%£ing kurbed it, my street is so narrow n cars always speed round a little blind corner, this time it was a pikey transit knobhead. They need a full respray anyways thinking of white OR SUGGEST SOME OTHEr COLOUR gonna spray them myself 1 by 1 and take time to give it a perfect finish as im quite capable of of spraying them.

The brake upgrade is a decent addition, well done. More upgrades like that and people will start to enjoy reading your posts!

i think you're behind the times, mk2's are shooting up in value for a good one. can't even get a shite mk2 xr2 for less than £400 these days, couple of years back shitters were going for £100. a good mk2 base spec will fetch around £700.

a modded fiesta will never realise a mint standard spec value, so mod the feck out of it and enjoy it.
good choice on brake upgrades, exhaust is a good touch too.

Great update mate!!!
Exhaust looks good and brakes are the mutts'.
Even though people say you don't need big brakes on a small engine they're wrong...you can actually go faster cause you need to brake later and are safer on the road as is everyone else that drives along side you.
These days all new cars have good brakes and I've rear-ended a fekin' 1.6 astra on my standard 1995 brakes and felt like shite so you get my approval!

Your wrong about the brakes, bigger brakes dont make a car faster or mean you can travel faster as the top speed will stay the same, it just means you can carry more momentum for longer cause you dont have to brake as early

Got to say the recent update is a good one, keep it coming and try not to fall back in your old modding ways

coil overs and a lsd box for that cvh lump, or why not go zetec on carbs (will cost abit more but well worth it) and the tuning potential of a zetec is much better

Im not bothering with coil overs, and defo going for cvh as its the cheaper option(and it bolts straight in extend 5 wires job done) and no messing around with fuel pump etc for the zetec(to complex for me atm and would take alot more time to complete), not botherd about speed but do want something a little faster than my iccle 950.
I would much rather zetec a Escort cabby, this is in my dreams but will happen one day.

Have to say, good job fella.. As for the lump try and find an early XR3 carb lump. better head flow and bigger carb make for a decent out of the box bit of pace.

LOL you got just what I meant, I'm such a huge idiot i actually think big brakes will make his car faster than a Veyron!
What I actually meant was that on a timed lap of whatever sort of road/track you care to choose he will be FASTER (as in take less time to complete said lap) because he can brake later, but offcourse now on online forums we must speak in know it all fancy physics terms to be understood.
I will try not to disappoint in the future.
Back on topic that car wold be nice and authentic with a good carb engine in it, but IMHO the OP will be happier with a modern injected lump and the wiring skills you get by doing a zetec swap can't hurt

Another point which is not valid as I doubt he will be lapping circuits very fast big brakes or not in a 1.0 fiesta so you attempt to get one up on me has failed please try again, my regards

I do get what youre trying to say though

After all the stick he's been getting from just about everyone on this forum (from myself included) I was just trying to lift his spirits a bit, I don't think it calls for an ego cock fight so read my attempt as a fail if you must.
Sorry for all the off-topic buggery and hope for better and better updates as time goes by!

Well done. Good brakes. Goodridge hoses next and some Recaros. You'll be almost done. Then in some time you can fit a bigger engine...all in good time.

Well will this engine fit straight into my car with just the 5 wires needing extending like from the xr2 or does require more work to get in and running, ideally needs to plug and play as ive said before or im holding out for an engine fresh out of an xr2.
I dont have a clue what to offer, you put ur price on it!
Not needing a gearbox for now as what ever engine i buy im gonna run the 4 speed box for a while, see how that goes then move onto and lsd box in good time.
