Sierra Cosworth 4x4 calipers have landed (they are HUGE, didnt realise) Ł40 bargain now just need to get some rs2k 260mm vented n grooved disks and possibly a set of green stuff pads.

Also got the standard xr2 exhaust fitted today but it is tooooo quiet although it does have a nice tone and is a little raspy so ill just get an ashley backbox as some point to give a better sound.

so all thats left is to get some rst recaro's and remove MK2 FEZZY from the windscreen then all of u on here should like my car better that way

and why get cossy calipers that run on a 283mm disc and put them on a 260mm disc? just get RSturbo/xr4x4 calipers at half the price.

you need those 4x4 calipers that you have and some 2wd discs and i would think your 15's should just go over them, im sure you have to drill your hub mounts out to 12mm though

am gonna clean them up with a wire wheel on a drill, get all the red paint off and paint them a nice alloy silver so people on here dont diss me again haha. They will look the biz when on behind the black wheels

tbh that mk2 ^^ hasn't had a vast amount of money put into it, to get the same look you just need to paint the bumpers, lower it and put some wheels on... oh and the mk2 XR2 kit looks crap imo

Im glad i can say i am one of the few people to have feasted my eyes upon this monstrosity of a thread. ive read the whole thread, 1102 posts of it, and i can honestly say, this is the most i have laughed in about 2 months. in all honesty fair play for trying, its not easy when your skint, but it has been proven over and over again that you can build a stunning mk2 for half of what you have spent, now im 19 too and like ^on the way, have a fairly good idea of what needs to be put on a car like that. you mate,CLEARLY do not. Av a look how brilliant this how come up, i really didnt think it would come up this good just to due how badly faded the paint work was. 3 an half hours to do only the bonnet, boot and only 1 side of the car. T-cut then turtle wax polish and that is the result^^^^^^^ fooking outstanding, by hand aswell

Had this on the ramps earlier and all seems gooood it has a genuine RS body kit all stamped. Only things it will need is 2 front wishbones (no play but rubbers are perrished), front pads n discs also 1 tyre and weld a straight pipe instead of buying a new mid box as its fooked then im sure it would fly through an MOT. Had the engine running for most of the time i was t-cutting the car (cleaned the plugs up before doing it and now it doesn't have a missfire anymore so runs perfectly) the engine has absolutely no oil leaks what so ever not even a spec around sump gasket or nout. Great solid car here so Will Not be breaking it

Think if you just put some nice wheels on the mondeo then finished cleaning it all up (Aslong as you dont take out all the silencers, just get some from scrapyard) you should be able to sell it for a decent amount, then you can get the Recaro's and disks whatever else you want, would be a real shame for you to crash the mondeo through halfords with chrome bits or another night rider light strip Were giving you a seccond chance with this so dont let us all down!

Can anyone suggest a nice sounding exhaust for my car, im thinking of cutting out the xr2 rear silencer but need something to weld in there but not a cherry bomb again. This standard xr2 system is just way to quiet and cant hear it at all when driving although the acceleration has improved especially 2nd gear 20mph to 40 takes like 2 sec then 3rd is much faster aswell much smoother which is way better than before.

Did the tracking the other day and now the car is really twitchy its way to responsive so dunno whats gone on there.
