they should rev to like 6/6.5K but me and a friend max both had 1.1s at the same time with counters and would rev them to like 8k daily hoping they would blow up for an excuse to put zetecs in but took months of abuse until he sold his and just took my lump out anyway haha

what a beast

Thought id treat my car to some new ICE

1000 watts nd built in amplifier, pretty good this just something to help the speakers along need to get 2 speakers for the front door cards now.

just bought this Shark car alaem but f*ck knows how to install it (the instructions show just how to install it with central locking systems)

and this 11" steering wheel finally arrived and its fooking brilliant as the handling has seemed to improve so much and its not like steering a ship anymore just needs a badge or sticker to cover the the centre

gonna wire this up as a separate horn, its really loud OOO-GAH

rear strut brace going to spray it red before i fit it

i have just read through this whole thread, i would normally hold my tongue when i read through threads and i don't like the car, i just wouldn't post.

but ffs, i'm assuming you read different car mags etc, everyone usually goes with a set theme or whatever as to the look they are trying to get, if you are looking to get it to look like xr2, then do so, don't add a fucking retarded horn, that backward ass american, sister fucking inbreds would put on there pickup truck. you seem more interested in the look of the car aswell compared to any real performance gains, why not spend the money you have wasted on what, 3 sets of rims and get the bloody bodywork sorted, before it ends up ruined and costing more to sort.

you obviously are posting on the forum to get advice and feedback, but after breaking this thread down 90% has been advice and not all that much has followed, that fucking scaffolding is still welded in masquerading as a bloody exhaust.

if i was you i would look at other mk2 fiestas that had been done, but not on www.barryboys.com, look at ones on xrtwo.com or this site even, spend time deciding on some choice quality modifications.

someone posted earlier that less is more, with these cars, i can't agree more, don't keep adding more shit just to say you have,

there's even a couple page spread in the last pf (i think it was pf) for 50 mods under 50 quid, aswell as listing the ones to avoid. just try and take some of them on board.

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY

With the steering wheel it just compared to the old one which was huge there was no real feeling to what the fornt wheels where doing and this one has seemed to improve so much.

And with the strut brace, it came straight from an enginering place and the welds are visable so it makes sense to make it look the part

lighten up a bit guys, the cars not THAT bad!
The exhaust is easilly fixed, hardly the end of the world, it may sound shit, but its not offending anyone is it?
the horn is 2 wires to remove, hardly the crime of the century.
I've still got 2 subs in my van, and might fit one to the cossy, its a bit stereotypical chav but its hardly dangerous or devaluing the car?
the wheels, are wrong, and would look better with pepperpots, but, it looks better than with bright orange tsw's or whatever it was
My advice is to sell the alarm, i have a feeling you might get yourself in a mess with that one, and have a go at the body work, get any welding done properly, and spend plenty of time on prepping any damage/repairs and painting.
Most young lads first cars are a bit of a mess, i know mine was, but at the end of the day, its an average condition mk2 fiesta 950, use it to learn how to sort bodywork etc. and then buy something better.

I thought the good thing about forums and the like that this kind of modifications were in the decline,
Surely if the op works in the garage that the fellas there will be giving the same kind of advice as on here.
OP must have no respect of your experience

the strut brace isnt painted at all so will need painting. but the majority of people on here are correct! instead of buying a sub and 3 sets of wheels and whatever else you have bought buy an engine stand, a reasonable 1.6CVH, then strip it down and rebuild it! drop that in. save up for a proper exhaust system and learn the concept that often less is more

if it had been mine I think I would of kept it looking like the 1.1, on slightly wider steels and slightly lower without body kit and stuff, an slapped a zetec or 16 cvh in, bit of a sleeper is best in that colour i think.. it ain't never gonna look like a xr2 in that colour, but it could be quicker than one with the right running gear.
