Default My Cosworth 4x4 winter Project

Hi
I am looking for information on restoring my new purchase, needing a little bit of work underneath with the underseal. Whats the best on the market? should i strip all the old off?
Is this possible with everything still attached? has anyone done it?

Whats your view on Bailey header tanks I think I might sell it and buy a standard new one?

Main thing I think this winter is to underseal and protect and also get some suspension..

cheers

looks wel, strip her down underneath, take off all underseal and fix any rotten bits (if any), then etch prime, stonechip, prime, and paint the same colour as the car.
then itl look unreal underneath

also look at the other sierra resto's on here to get an idea. sorry for the newbie post lol

HI Mate
When you say remove it all that would intail stripping all suspension, brake linings etc, or just go around them? that will take a massive amount of time?
I know thats best but cost+time ??

yea lad i would remove all suspension, back axle and that, petrol tank, fuel lines and that stuf,
im currently doing it to a 2.0 twincam sapphire, no thread started on here yet tho.
cost+time depends on how much you do yourself, its only gona cost me parts, and the price of paint because im doin almost all the work myself. it doesnt take that while long to strip it down either

if you want to restore it properly thats the way to go about it

Front end stripped getting ready to paint.

couple of brackets from the powder coaters.

Rocker cover back from the powder coaters ready to be finished off. Changed back to red from what was a carbon effect.

Soon be finished work on the rocker cover just waiting for the gasket to come. Thanks to 'cozzy jeff' for advice on the rocker cover
