Focus 1.6 - 2.0 Duratec turbo
Hello everybody, Had my car for two years now but never got round to putting a thread up here so here we go!
Started off as a 1.6 edge with a gearbox problem
Then it got stripped
My rs engine came out of the shell that dingla had think someone else on here has got a thread about it
Old engine out
Car had the full rs engine and full rs wiring looms ecu's, fans, mounts, chargecooler setup, diesel TDCI Driveshafts, st170 hubs knuckles front brakes, full st170 rear beam and disc setup, gaz coilovers.
st170 rear beam
Found a new fun plate for the car
I then got a full mongoose exhaust fitted
Standard interior with rs clocks, stack boost guage, rs centre console and scanguage
Then got it rr at 250bhp
Got my arches rolled and focus rs fitment comp mo's on, And tidyed up the front bumper with ducts where the fogs used to be.
more updates soon!

Then started to fit things back up!
Manifold fitted!
On all the aftermarket air to air kits the power steering cooling pipes have to be bent up and the fitment isnt very good so thats why i decided to make my own!
No bent pipes here!

I then decided to Modify the coolent kit (the hose to the coolent pipe on top of the radiator now points down) This will now run across the bottom of the rad instead of the top near the mega hot manifold.

Cfm lower mount fitted
Air 2 air pipes mocked up in plastic and sent to pro alloy!
These have been made and were with the powercoater yesterday so expecting them anytime,
Also got a lenght of 25mm roose hose to fit my dv up near the elbow and some high temp ducting,
can see the alloy bracket that i made for the boost controller solinode to keep original mounting points.
The two funnels in place of the st170 fogs (pipe not fitted on the pic tho!)
It also runs up virtical so no chance of any water getting up to the filter!

Got some alcons off ebay off a jag for a bargin price, 6 pot monoblock. Looked a bit worse for where when i got them.
Then used nitromores to strip them (Not an easy job think it was concrete paint)
And removed all bleed screws and bridge pipes.
Then got an engineer to mill the face smooth and lose the IR. Cheers womble top job pal
Then i masked both of them up (all pistons and mounting faces)
After 6 coats of Bright red VHT Engine enamel
Got some custom size alcon stickers (off dmb graphics) very good service aswell
They then looked like this
Very happy with them they just need a few coats of VHT gloss clear engine enamel which i will do tomorrow
With all new bleed nipples, dust covers, bridge pipes and pad retaining clips off ears motorsport it still works out loads cheaper for the two than buying just one new
Just waiting for a hub to be sent to martoonthe i should recive my ap discs and bells and brackets.

Set up the boost controller but having a bit of a problem with channel 4 so going to try turning the pre load up abit other than that it might need a uprated pump!
