Default blacktop 2.0 fiesta mk5

hiya guys dont really post on here any more but thought id show you my little project i am working on

i was building a zetec turbo up for a mk3 fiesta i had. But the rust on it was quite bad and got offerd a mk5 zetec s shell for cheap so

the old :

the new

the plan for the car atm is to jut fit the 2.0 blacktop and get it up and running then i will be sourcing a st170 engine or going to itb and cam the normal 2.0 the main aim been 170 ish bhp

process on the car is slow due to lack of funds but slowly getting there and hope within the next mount should be able to get the engine started.

spec so far is:

poloybushed all round
stripped
plates already welded in for cage
flocked dash
battery in boot
brand new coilovers
new drop links and track rod ends

plans i want to do are

cage
polycarb rear windows
300mm brakes
false floor
carbon fiber or poly front and rear door cards
170 + bhp engine

all comments welcome

enjoy guys

I will be keeping an eye on this cause i would love to do the same conversion on my wifes car.So i take it the engine mount is totaly differnet and is there no way you can make a engine mount out of the standard engine mount?

that engine mount is far to thin,

needs to be a ally spacer or proper gauge steel welded in imo

love these though, have a similar spec one sat on my drive doing fuck all lol

well long time no update for this really but i am now going zt on it and the following spec

diamond racing pistons
standard rods
apr con rod bolts
rebuilt head
uprated valve springs
erst manifold using adaptor plate

my aim is 250 bhp to start with then will probs change rods at some point and push for over 300.

can some one suggest me a turbo to use on my erst manifold.

few little pics i have got

Looking good! That engine mount won't last 5 minutes though as it is way too thin. Needs to be proper gauge steel welded in!
