Default my 4x4 saff light resto UPDATE 14/12/2010 GOT IT STRATED!

now i was over the moon with this but there was a few issues that where really bugging me the wheels being one but hopefully got some sharktooths on the way the other where

so when i saved the pennies up i got it booked into to have some paint done these are the pics of afterwards

so i was happy for a while then one day it wouldnt start turned out to be fooked battery so got one of them off a mate who was braking a saff also got ambers to go on standard airbox pulley cover and mint standard headertank, then one day when hoovering i found the dreaded rust after noticing the carpet was wet!

so after finding that i stripped the rest of the interior out and didnt find anymore horrors

so thats basically where im at its booked in on monday morning to get the welding sorted out then ive got the tax/mot end of december so need to get my abs light off asap ill update when its back from the welders cheers

Well done for saving another one,
Just make sure you've had a proper poke round the gearbox and prop center bearing mounts from the inside. Would hate you to miss it like i nearly did. Mine looked mint from underneath but when i took my carpets up they were going quite badly but didnt look too bad until i had a poke around.

I think they act as a crud catcher and it just sits eating away at the thinner part of sandwiched steel - the floor. Think the mounts are slightly thicker gauge steel hence why mine looked OK from underneath.

Hope you get it running,

I'd start by checking for spark and cleaning the plugs.

Cool saff. IMO remove the densos and fit 071s. I've seen densos break of and cause engine damage
