Default mk2 xr2 respray

ive got a very tatty xr2 at the moment but am working through bringing it back to life.

ive had most of the welding done and theres plenty of new metal. it just needs a new boot floor and a respray obviously.

im in the middle of fitting a 2.0 blacktop at the moment but am also saving for a bare metal respray.

some pics of engine

im very nearly there with the conversion and only need to fit, sevice and tune the engine.

i would like to know where the best place to get a respray would be. ive looked into getting it dipped and it seems very expensive but is it worth it.
is sand blasting any good and where can i get it done in essex.

also if you have had your car restored how much did it cost you and who did you go to?

id like to do it myself but im usless at that stuff and dont have a garage.

there 13's with 175/50/13 continental tyres. i dropped the tyres down because of rubbing and it handles much better to.

though the gearbox craddles only 2'' off the floor now so i get problems with speed bumps and even roads with big cambers.

Cheers mate I thought they didn't look like the regular 60 profile on 13s in the pics.

Blimey! only 2" clearance for the 'box support cradle!! That's low!
