with the quarter panel situation up in the air atm , attention was turned to getting the inner sill ect sorted ,


so the front inner sill or how it looked



the replacement






then karl fabbed up a replacement strengthing panel ,




then welded in








and how it will look with the new sill




and i made a start on the back , what a fucking state !!

well should of posted this a cpl days ago but the laptop shit iteslf ,


anyway some pics - basically just been rebuilding the pass side sill , removing the quarter and prepping in wait for the new quarter ,

how pete ashfeild a rs spares specialist sold this car as mint is fucking beyond me !!

Almost there tho, lets hope this panel moves along and gets to you asap.

If id of known the shell was in such a bad way id of ran a mile, but live and learn and at least it is getting done as it should be now.

update of today , only a half day as we both had other commitments in the afternoon ,


first off , special made up a inner lower quarter repair panel , lol out the old quarter panel lol , who says we dont recycle !!!




i then removed the pass rear running gear for access to chassis leg ,



ohh lordy









so got on with stripping out the shite , b4 calling it a day







will be getting the chassis leg sorted tomorrow , hopefully both the new quarter and the new back panel will be here before the weekend for us to get it wrapped up

update as of tonight

off with the back panel




i reckon a rst would look pimp with a land rover style tailgate




unpicked the shite and cleaned up the boot floor ,



floor was full of sealer and catty , gutted that out to find a poor looking boot






its hard to make out , but all the swages and the leading edge were batterd , deffo had a rear end shunt in its life,

karl spen most of the day straigtening it coat of red etch to help see the dings ,

alost bk there to straight and square





just waiting on sourcing a mk 4 back panel

ohh and the rear quarter arrived ,

yeah they know there stuff allright, i think its all they live for some days lol.

As for the rear quarter, yeah i got one, a ford one at that but god they are in short supply. if id of known id of bought 10 of the things years ago and stored them.

Getting there tho, will almost be new by the time its finished

now adam had a good look at the back panel its a no go but beefy is buying the mk3 one off you so its ok but ive just mailed steve of here about a rear panel he has waiting for a reply still got plenty to get on with if you manage to get ova sunday should have the o/s all done.
