mk6 to mk5 escort front
 
i dont like the mk6 escort front so im goin to try and change it to a mk5

i know i will need mk5 bonet wings and slam panel and bumpers

but wot else will i need

slam pannel just needs slightly altering. i think you can keep your wings as they are the same shape. best bet is go to your local scrappy and look at a mk5 and a mk6 and you will be able to see the minor differances

Lets start at the front panel

There is 2 brackets that hold the headlights these are the ones closest to the grille, they need removing.

Then there is 2 bonnet supporting brackets in a v shape, they need to go aswell they are either side of the grille.

The wings can be kept but there is a lip inside the indicator housing on the mk5 wings that the mk6 doesnt have. Away round the problem is screwing the indicators to the headlights.

Then its a case of swapping the bonnet, headlights and bumper and grille over, there maybe a few things iv missed but thats most of it.

yup that about sums it up, I did just the opposite swapped from mk5 to mk6 cuz I had a set of mk6 morrettes which I think look much better than the mk5s
