Wouldn't bother tbh mate, stick a zetec in imo.

That engine is a bit pre/prototype zetec, wasn't in production long, isn't very tunable and a bit unreliable!

Plus you will have to gash ya bonnet cos it sits too high in a mk3/4.

Zetec is a lot easier and far more tunable.

seen this done on a orion (same shape as mk4), they did have to put a hump in bonnet. so rspickup geezer is right...soz all the best though. if you still go through with it, i heard somewhere (don't ask where lol) that you could get the galaxy 2.3 block for some extra horse's 8)

Keep the MK4 gearbox, go for a 1.6 EFI or Zetec flywheel with cps markings. Escort Zetec 130 hp and RS2k won't fit (MTX gearbox engines). Fiesta MK3 flywheels also work.

we usede s2 flywheel and helix clutch on the rs2000 engien and a fiesta 1600 diesel gearbox. on the rs2000 the cps is sitting in the rear on block and it is on the crank there sits 36-1 wheel. sow you can use all escort mk 3-4 flywheels to the rs2000 engien

i did this conversion to the point where it was in the car but then we ran out of storage, there is a lot of work involved mate. The engine bolts straight up to a mk4 gearbox which saves a lot of work but then you need to fab up a rear engine mount and make an arrangement for alternator etc for no PAS.

In saying that, I sold the engine to a mate who put it in a mk3 fiesta and christ does it shift, and the noise off it is awesome, sounds raspy like a Vauxhall red top but whit more attitude :)
