Default Austrian Mk2 Fiesta 1.4i - NEW QUESTION ABOUT BRAKE UPGRADE

Here's my newest project

This tiny Fiesta will become my new daily drive, although I plan to treat her like an old classic car in this condition deserves it!

A Mk2 Fiesta in this condition shouldn't be wasted in my opinion, so I will not let her rot away or drive her to death - PROMISE

I want it to be a reliable drive and so want to keep it in perfect condition, what seems to be alot easier than with the 3dr Cossie when you have a look at the simple construction and the prices for spares

Some more pics of the starting basis:

one bad cellphone pic from the drive home on the day i bought it:

Last weekend, I fitted a few parts / did a small "maintenance":

timing belt + tensioner
water pump + new coolant
spark plugs
crankshaft and camshaft seals
valve cover seal
ball rod end (right)
oil change + oil filter
petrol filter
air filter

Updates and more pics coming soon hopefully!

Thanks Brian!

A QUESTION:

I want to upgrade the brakes on my Fiesta, as they are not really the ultimate performance ones

Has anyone recommendations on orig. Ford items from other cars that will fit?
Due to the complicated laws here in Austria and the car being used DAILY, I do not want to fit aftermarket brakes... so unremarkable Ford items would be perfect

Standard XR2 MK2 setup is good for 97 standard hp and still strong enough for engines a little bit stronger than that.

Sierra Cosworth 4x4 calipers and RS2000 16V discs also bolt straight on.

Really, that's great!!! THAT should be enough for a little car like this

Hi mate,

first, Nice fiesta!

My fiesta mk2 is orginal also a 1.4S. But for now is it a rs turbo.
So i've changed my brakes also.
From orginal to 4x4 cossie calipers and rs2k disks.

As what other members have said. cos brake set = 15 inch wheel min, s2 rst = 14 inch wheel min, mk2 xr2/frst 13 inch min may be 12 but don't no for sure.. just remember you only got a little brake servo on that model.
