Austin Metro MG Turbo
Not exactly a Ford, but still nice… lol
My mate is nearly finished restoring his MG Turbo, looks the part, sounds the part, and fitted with a T25 Es’Cos turbo it goes the part!!! Haha
He’s just greedy, after finishing his Auralis blue Escort RS Cosworth resto, he’s now done this. So now he has bought an Audi UR Quattro which is next for the knife….
I’d still have it haha….

That's actually a pretty cool little car, mainly on account of the fact that you won't see another one on the road lol, and that is super clean! What sort of power is it running mate??

na you dont really see them now. well its just flew thru the MOT 2day, so he's still running the engine in so not had a good thrashing yet. couple of mines and he will be putting it on the roll and road to give the proper bhp figure.

i'd have kept it all white personally
Fun little cars, one of the first cars i got to grips with after passing my test, they dont handle big bhp on standard engines though

no more Granada's for me
if it where mine i think i'd have kept the arches white, but everyones different, still looks cool though, my misses had one of these many years ago, she loved it but it didnt love her and kept blowing turbo's and head gaskets, but by the looks of this one i'd say you've sorted that issue, well done with it an good luck

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
great little resto, think they stopped making them in 1990 - H (?) never rated at the time but they had pin sharp steering/turn in, good brakes and not much lag (ok it was only 90 bhp!).
Good to see one back on the road as they all rusted away so fast, eg wings/sills rusted through after about 5 yrs.
look up metro turbo pond / watts and see how quick they really were in Grp A!
