so i have one 175bhp 1.6 zetec se in the shed,
and its new home,
a little tired shawspeed kit car, formally owned by total kit car mag and raced in the 750 m/c by nat, as you can see time has taken its toll on the car and the weather but it is a good rolling chassis with all the right parts, gave it a little clean and removed the stickers,
ohh and its LHD lol

rough spec as follows,
shawspeed chassis and bodywork, with a full "caged" cage
live axle at rear, english
gaz coilovers,
cortaina uprights with mk2 escort m16 vented brakes
cossie rear caliper on pug disks, pedal box and willwood bias valve in cockpit
175bhp 1600 zetec se engine, fastened to a quaife type 9 box with semi helicol gears, with long first gear
thats about it for that stage,
anyway new parts started rolling in, a s/h sump that got shotblasted so i can have it baffled, and ap organic clutch, new bellhousing adaptor, and hydro clutch conversion

engine whacked in, quite good having very light engines as just lift it in and out,
a speedo quite a good thing to have, better than the push bike one that was on!
christmas prezzie from the mrs, at set of mac motorsport seats,
more random shots while it was being put together,

I love that aeroscreen, where did you get it from? It wont fit my Mac#1 but hopefully the company who supplied it will do something similar.
You've made a great transformation of that car, it's looking superb now! Racetech dash too, you flash git!

the aero screen is a shawspeed one, he has a mould for it there is alot of flex in it so you might be able to get it to fit, your welcome to borrow it and see as mine wont be on the road for abit if you like?
im just waiting for a custom intercooler to be finished along with my rad being changed, i was going to go for one like yours but my nose cone is smaller and that setup you have was just too big
is your turbo water cooled too? if so how do you plumb it in with regards to the rest of the cooling setup

Yes it's water cooled. The standard oil cooler has been removed from the ZX10R engine to make room for the turbo, so I'll be plumbing the water feed that used to go to the oil cooler to the turbo and then from the turbo it will be piped into the hotside of the radiator. This means I now have no oil cooler so will need to find space in the nose cone for a thermostatically controlled oil cooler radiator.

ill have a think about the cooling setup as im going to fit a remote thermostat in the system too i think as the standard one is on the block on the return after the rad and i dont think its the best there

I've never heard of them, but had a quick look at their website and their in Northallerton, about 30 miles South of me. Could be a handy place to know for future reference, i'll make a note.
