black fiesta rs turbo
i just got a fiesta rs turbo on j reg in black the car will be a project tht will hopefully be done for febuary end spec is not decided yet but wht is decided is tht body work and interior are going to remain fairly standard justproberley different wheels to accomadate some bigger brakes the isnt running atthe moment n has just had new floor pans and rear arches at the moment it is half stripped so in the next few days i will stripping the rest of the car to see exactly wht the base is i got to work with then a start on the body work and underside of the car will commence iwill post some pictures up tommro

not 100% yet mate but am thinkin of tht route im pretty sure i want a relaible n true 230-250bhp so zetec route is looking inviting at the moment at the moment tht is a long way off i wanna get the body sorted first n in mint condition then decide where im goin from there

hi ya been busy today got some stripping of the car done but unfortunatly found some more rust tht i was not expecting im not letting this put me off tho and there is a picture of my current car a fiesta st
the majority of the shell has had the repairs done to it like the floor pans n the quarter panels but the 1/4s i am thinking of doin agin but with complete panels i dnt want just a nice car i want a mint one ne comments help or advise much appreciated

na in this respet im quite lucky the car was aready half stripped and had already had the bigest amount of the reqired welding done on the floor pans and sills so if this is the worst suprise ive got im happy tbh the interior i got with the car is mint so im not bein put off by this tbh

just a quick update after yesterdays dissapointment at wht i found i have been to a ford dealer where i had used to work to price up a chassis leg to find out they had a complete shell so i am now the owner or a brand new fiesta shell

right im kinda encotering another problem atm bein as i have a fresh unused shell to start from im undecided wht colour to go with there is the blattent idea of staying black but i have got another colour in mind but has ne one else got ne ideas on colour or opinions ?

i just found out the name of the colour i like it is called ford celebration green as found on the mark 5 zetec s with the cheuqered roofs il proberley get slated for this choice but i want something different tht will stand out at the shows and my thinking is as long as the car is done to very high standard it shouldn look cheap and nasty the rest of the body will be standard other thn the wheels ne opinions on this colour or other sugestions are welcome

do u know ne one who could mate ??? or if ne one wants to be kind enuf to post photoshoped pictures or a rs turbo / xr2i in different colours pls do so i got approx week and half to decide the colour because as soon as i have taken delivery of the shell it is straight onto preping and painting the bare shell

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
If you fancy a different colour, i would stick with a genuine rs colour. Perhaps mallard green, aubergine or auralis blue. Nothin to over the top, but different enough. Personally I'd stick with black

someone sent me a link to this frst although not the exact colour im thinking of i personally do think the frst is lending its self to a bright vibrant colour

colour decided it is goin black as with everything cost has been the deciding factor because it will leave me more cash for other aspects of the car and attract a lot less attention from police or from the little idiots tryin to steal a car

i went n picked up my interior for my fiesta the yesterday and have spent the day cleaning it today the seats are imaculate apart from the piping on the drivers seat but tht is going to a local trimers tommroz to be repaired the carpet is now mint after 1 and half hours cleaning and scrubbing then i used the jet wash with hot water to steam it off and it is now spotless il get some pictures up tommroz when i pinched the exs camera lol

here is a few pictures of the interior the front seats i am really pleased with how clean they have come up the drivers seat needs re pipeing and the seat is going to be dropped off tommrow i have given the carpet a quick clean with the jet wash to get the main of the stains off but i will be attacking tht again with a wet vac and some proper carpet cleaner the inlet is going to be stripped later and acid dipped to see if it comes really clean i am tempted to go the chrome / polished route but i think i am goin to go the clean origanal route as there isnt as many done in this way and the same is going to happen for the charge carrier i am still waiting for the shell which i will have on friday then the project can really start

brand new turbo shell is here :)
i went and picked up my new fiesta shell yesterday with the great help of my m8 his van n trailer then i was up early this morning and to the local paint shop to get some black paint thinners scotchbrite and some advice iv just had enuf now and have decided to call it a day today i have the underside now painted in celulose base coat 2 of the wheel wells and approx half of the engine bay ive now run out of paint and the bloke in the paint shop said 4 litres for the whole car !!! ive used that already just on the underside here are some pictures i will take some of the underside when i get the car back on its side for the laqering but as u can see from the pictures there is no serious rust ne where where fiestas normally rot there is a little surafce rust in place so this has been sanded back to bare metal then zinc primed before painting . i think the origanal is feeling left out today as there is no point in stripping nemore things out untill the inside of the new shell is painted tht way i wont forget where things go i can take them off the old shell and either re new or tidy up where needed and put straight onto the new shell

quick update all the inside is now painted so its time to start transfering the loom across tommroz not looking forward to it tbh but the plan is to get everything loom wise renewed or retaped and repaired where needed and into the new shell then start the suspension i will strip it off the old car sand blast and recondition it into new condition before fitting it to the new shell and fit poly bushes where ever they are available for the front arms i think i am goin to go for the fiesta frenzy items with the rose joints i will get some new pictures up tommro and some better ones of the underside

quickupdate have just brought another fiesta rs turbo which was a unfinished project so i now have brand new konis and powder coated suspension items a pair of brand new recaros another 5 rs turbo wheels and best of all a freshly built 2.1 zetec engine it has had brand new cams valves calibra turbo pistons ect on my shell ive been repairing the damage tht was pictured above and found a few little dents in the roof what a night mare they are i think the roof is now eventually straight lol next thing is to get the shell rolling and get the out side in primer to see if there are ne other imperfections in the panels i think it will be alot easier to see when it has been primered il get some pictures up when i get chance
