Ok, what my mind was thinking maybe didn't come out in text, the clutch plate alignment to the splines, no issue, aligning the 3 plates onto the length of splines available took alot of fettling 😉

How's that?

Markk - With the twin plate I have no issues at all as the depth of spline needed to engage both plates is around 31mm and the length of spline going through from the input shaft is around 35.5mm so I can see why you would struggle getting it all to fit with 3 of them

Toby - Stuff I use was from a friend and is silly expensive for what it is but in theory any good 3m tape would do the same job

Ian - I will put the cossie box in for the weekend as I will not have time to modify the exhaust, I would of happily ran it with no attessa pump in2wd now I know no damage would be done but im not driving it with no exhaust

So I will put the skyline stuff in, take it for a quick spin and make sure everything is good and working correctly then re fit the cossie stuff for the weekend,

Then before my trackdays at the start of November I can get the 2wd/4x4 pressure switching sorted and re do the exhaust

That's the plan anyway

Cheers mate

Got the skyline box fitted today

Went together like a dream even on my own, helps that the gearbox weighs more and sits evenly on the jack and is better balanced,

Had no issues with splines lining up splines or getting gearbox bolted up at all, was almost too easy lol

Anyway some fitted pics

The cylinder has 5-6mm to give for clutch wear

Started the car just to check it but only for a sec as I have not put the oil in the box yet

Going to do that tomorrow and maybe take it around the block to test but it's fecking loud with just the downpipe

Toby - I posted on your thread also but incase anybody else has issues or wanted to know I will post here also

Going by me measuring my block/crank....

The stick out of the input shaft beyond the block face can be NO more than 6.5mm or the input shaft will be jamming up against the bottom of the crankshaft spigot hole

Had an early finish due to a cancelled night shift so just filled box with Redline heavy shockproof gear oil and what a long winded task....... About 4.1 litres and it's like syrup so took forever to pump in with a hand pump lol

Also filled transfer box with Redline ATF racing fluid

Not a bad way to spend Ł130

i used redline HSP in my impreza gearbox, mixed with some castrol heavy gear oil.

it was like pouring treacle so i put the bottles in a bucket of hot water for 20 mins to warm it up, went in a bit easier but still took forever. on the impreza you fill via the gearbox dipstick hole

That's just a video of it with no exhaust lol

Will quickly run it down the road tomorrow.

Baffled the gear lever today to stop the common transfer fluid leak, I haven't had the issue as I've not driven the car but read about it and as it was a sime mod I thought I'd do it anyway

Can't see it making any difference Toby I just happened to have some thin mild steel so used that

As I didn't get to pod today for Ford Fest I done some on the skyline exhaust

Still have to cut 1 more piece to complete it as it was too late to fire up the chop saw lol

Had to make some tight bends from pie cuts to clear things like the pressure feed on the rear of the box and had to unweld and move a few times to get right but will be all good once fully done

Also had to shorten the back box by 250mm as the skyline box is longer

Once the last piece is in I will double check everything then I will purge weld the lot, so should be done by end of the week then il look at mounting the attessa pump and getting that plumbed in

Few pics

Yes mate decided it was not worth swapping back and forth with the cosy stuff and I had to work a shift which meant no Ford Fest so just going permanent skyline now

Exhaust is all done apart from waiting on some new rubber hangers

Not as neat as I like it I rushed it to be honest, anyway

I bought one of them as well just to test the box. Before going ETS pro in the future. Haven't tried it yet but looks simple enough to wire up.

Right it's prity simpol the motor is 12volt and as you no there is a presher switch that brakes when the pump hits aprox 500/600psi so if you wire it with a relay and fuse so when you turn the pump on it turns the pump off at max and simple wire the veribull risister in so that will control the amout of psi that's sent to the gearbox and at the same time plum in a psi gauge so you can see wot it's doing very simpol to be onist . But as I'm finding out don't try to run to much psi to the gear box as with this gear box more is not all ways better when we did silverstone I had it set at 200 psi and as all I was thinking was save the diff and driving the car I forgot to lower the psi witch made the car 4 wheel slide in the corners witch was not good . These gearboxes are that strong my car has been driven two times now with the rear diff smashed to bits just by putting it at about 200psi there that strong

The pump should only make about 200psi if it's wired proper😉

For what purpose? And only if you bypass the built in pressure switch.
