Thanks chap.
I was wondering what the steel ones were, as am interested in something for my RS2000. Trying to keep the budget down a bit for this one so didn't want to go all-out with the billet stuff ideally.
Might see if a mate can knock me some up, as he's a dab hand with the TIG.

Marc, sorry to bombard you with questions.
I don't suppose you have any more pictures of the old fabricated TCAs? And also, what compression struts are you using? If you had fabricated ones it would be good to see some pictures of them.
Think I might go down the route of making some for my RS2000.

Bob on, thanks mate. I think fabricated probably makes the most sense for what I'm doing at the moment, seeing as I know someone who could do them for me.
Out of interest, what type of TCAs are you running now? I know you said they were billet MK ones, but are they the WRC "gold" tarmac ones? Would be interested to know some dimensions as a starting point, just for bearing/rose joint sizes, and rough positions of compression strut pivot and ARB drop link mounting.

Bit more done and struggled a bit with the panels either side of where the filter will slot in, not afraid to admit I didn't make it easy to do for myself as making a full length T joint weld along a 400mm long strip that's only 2mm thick and 10mm wide was asking for trouble, and even in short sections it warped a fair bit, it will still work but just isn't as neat as it should be, I should have made a folded edge top and bottom to make for an easy lap weld
Anyway all part of the learning process and something I will now bare in mind for any future fabricating
Only getting a couple of hours each Nite but hoping to finish tomorrow night as got all night on it
Thanks
Marc

Looks brilliant in metal....I must learn to tig.
I found mig easy to get started, I assume tig is so much harder to get started or can you just get stuck in like mig?

Sooo much admiration for this project Marc, so much thought / done / fabricated by yourself.
You should be proud mate, awesome work as usual and outstanding finish!!

Well other than the small cover plate where the air filter slots into its pretty much completed
Got it looking nice on the outside purely for asthetics but as said before in places inside is not so pretty where thin parts warped or i had to much penetration with the filler ect but that's all part of learning and it will not affect how it functions so i can live with that, ideally 3mm would of been a lot better to work with but would of been too bulky even though there is only 1mm difference
Anyway here's a lot of pics
Fitted to the car
Gonna paint it satin black when we get a good days weather and i had emailed ITG about a filter but not heard back so i ordered some universal air filter foam from RamAir today which will do the job for now
I will make the small top plate over the weekend if i get a chance
Thanks
Marc
