no im goin 4 adjustable tca's so if if needs moveing i can bring the bottom in to suit, the royal nail van was fine running standard escort innerwings/turrets so cant see a problem

no more done yet, just fitted the engine & box back in so i can make a gearbox mount

That looks sweet mate, if I were you I would leave it looking like that and go out and upset a few things before getting it all painted up.

cut the sills of 2day but pain in the arse trying 2 trim em up etc.... on the floor so gonna sort out some other bits like exhaust & fuel tank then get it stripped & back on the spit to fit sills/arches

Made good progress.

Any reason you couldnt use the std gearboxmount?

seams like the engine site further back than i would of expected on this. Is it due to the engine subframe mounting position? how did this effect the position of the gearbox tunnel when matched up?

as i fitted the tunnel into the escort floor i had to narrow tunnel slightly at bottom to fit inbetwen the escort chassis rails makeing the gearbox mount slightly 2wide so made a new 1 slightly sorter.

yes the gearbox fits about 1inch further back in tunnel then standard as engine frame was mounted slightly further back in bay to get wheel alinement correct withut pulling the bushes out of the bottom arms & wanted more room at front for rad/fan/cooler etc.... (as all hidden behind front panel & cant be seen with grill/bumper fitted)

everything is being fitted with maximum clearance to allow for any movement when running/driveing & giveing easier acces for any tinkering/repairs
