Default Fiesta MK6 ZS Tractor... work in progress (tight budget project!)

hi eveyone! new to the site and thought I'd share a few pics of my car!
bought the car for the £35 per year tax, and the 51mpg im currently showing on the display
it was supposed to be staying 100% standard...

but one wintery foggy morning i hit a HUGE pot hole around the country lanes, i was late for work and i was doing about 50mph, i didnt even see the hole! it bent my front far side wheel and the tyre wouldnt seal!!

So a set of cheap wheels and tyres to get me by were required...

these came in a few days later at work, and i thought they looked nice against the car (the picture does them no justice!), so for £400 with rubber, i thought why the hell not!!

Default Next Steps

Ok so bearing in mind this car was staying 100% standard... lol

my mate phones me up one day and tells me Motor world are doing tint film for £10 per roll! so i thought id give it a go DIY, if it didnt look good, i cud just take em off! this is how they turned out....

not perfect ill admit but hey for £20 you cant go wrong!! Im probably gunna have another bash at the rear screen when the weather is nicer! it was snowing when i did these!!

heres a few pics of me and my mate with his swift sport taken last night

Default Had a spare afternoon...

because id been taking so may pictures of Tractor Tom (Mk6 Fiesta TDCi lol) i had relised how rusty lookin my calipers and drums were looking! I had a spare afternoon today so i thought id get the high heat black paint out and spruce them up a bit!

the drums dont half look better!!

BIG THANKYOU to Jeff along the road (aparently hes a member on her but dnt know his username) for lending me a breaker bar to get the wheels off lol!! i couldnt beleve how tight Ford had torqued them up!! it was rediculous!! lol

next steps are:
BMC panel filter (on order)
Spax 35mm lowering springs (on order)
black / chrome Ford badges for front, rear and steering wheel (on order)
Black / Chrome Ford Center Caps
de-lock driver door

Maybe:
ST side skirts, but they're expensive and im skint! lol
RS Tuning re-map to 130bhp and around 65mpg! again very expensive and im skint lol!

***UPDATE***

Just been browsing http://www.dmb.uk.com when i looked in the reduced sextion they had a set of matt black ZS stripes for the sides going for £13 inc. P&P! BARGAIN!! Pre cut and everything! so just ordered them! think ill get a body shop to fit them though!

they've got some crackin Ford kit on that site for not a bad price!! Will post pics of the gear and comment on quality when it arrives!

lol, the wheels actually look pretty good when you see the car infront of you! I've had a few people say they like them, even had a lad come in to me at work today and ask who's car it was coz he wanted a set of the same wheels! lol!!

everytime i post pictures i get bad feed back for them tho lol!!

I think the Mk6 looks ok on ST wheels, but EVERYONE does it! and i wana be a bit different!

Im not a massive fan of plain black wheels because it makes them look smaller than they are usually.

I'll get more pics on when the cars been lowered, see if it sets the wheels off!

In my opinion you could have maybe aquired diamond cuts for the amount you have spent on those wheels, it would have looked very similar to this:

The wheels aren't to my taste I'm afraid, £400 can buy a much nicer set of wheels

Arrow ***UPDATE***

number plates, black ford badges and ZS stripes delivered today!!

fitted the badges and plates but ive decded agains the ZS stripes after seeing another silver ZS with black bump strips who also had these side stripes on. Didnt look right with the black bump strips! So im thinkin about gettin a colour code done! gunna get some prices and go from there!

I noticed the TDCi badges were going pink when i was fitting my number plates, so I pulled it off lol!! I also noticed the red had flaked off a little on the zetecS badge. I like the look of this badge so I thought id try something different! flaked the rest of the red off and coloured it in black with a CD marker lol! this is just temporary to see how it looks btw lol!!

BMC Panel Filter Fitted:

Was a bloody tight squeeze like! the old filter just falls in, this one needed to be pushed in, but I suppose it seals all around the inside of the air box!

Arrow ***UPDATE***

Yesterday my black Ford badges came and so did my 3D number plates so i got those on!

me and my mate had a bash at fitting the springs aswell! only took 20 minutes to do the back like! It started beltin down as we took the wheels off the front... so we torqued them back up and its goin in on thursday to have the fronts done proffessionally.

this morning I give the car a quick clean... which took 4 hours lol!

Cant forget the most important thing...
