Hi people I have a Ford Orion mk1 which I have been modifying for the last few years and now body work all planned and going good but i have some issues on the engine. Can you please tell me if anyone or any suggestions if a Focus Rs engine will be good to make in my car. Basically I want a good fast engine but I wish to fit also the ac since here it makes lots of heat in summer and going for a Sunday drive will kill you without an ac lol.

Hope I get some answers Thanks and continue with modifying well done.

yes the focus rs engine will fit but i would have thought you will have 2 make up new engine to make it mount up and wire it in will be a top project get some pics up thou just 2 see if your mk1 is the same as are mk1 ( are mk3 escort shape ) as it does differ from country to country

you could also fit a xetec from a late escort saloon, they had AC and it would possibly be cheaper than the rs engine swap.

hey mate yes long time no speak, yes when i have some free time i take a look at the website but all in a hurry. The day is too short to do everything lol. Right now i removed the plates of the orion and i'm stripping it ot make a full rebuilt from top to bottom.

hehe i wish i do a mustang engine but due to our """loved""" Prime minister he made the every year licence twice as much it was before. My friend is doing a V8 8L on an escort mk1 he made it convertable with 6 tone flip colour etc its very cool he has to pay 800 Euro (705 GBP) a year just for the licence to drive it on the road!! I'm looking for 1999 CC most lol not going over 2000 cc and i have to pay 250 Euro (220GBP) a year. Since my wage is not so good i can't afford to pay 220GBP for a Sunday car and 220GBP for the Fiesta + Insurance for both another 500 GBP each because i'm still 23 its very high then when i'm over 25 it does down by half.

yes it was in my plans but its quite expensive here when a sierra cosworth is still selling for aprox 20,500 GBP for a good clean one. Also parts are very rare because we have only few running around.

looks like a sweet plan..i 2 was once on the orion register,but have now been left in the dark with no club to join..i had a blue mk3 rs2000 orion,which iv now replaced with my mk1 orion cosworth(project)and mk2 1.6i ghia,which mite end up rs2k aswell..any help and info will be great from ne1..

great and well done hmm the orion cosworth project.. i wished it but lots of money needed to pay people to make it here in the lovely Maltese island

For now i'm thinking a Focus Rs Mk1 Engine will do good
