Impressed with your hard work mate but not very impressed with how long it's taken you to pay boothy for the lights. Come on mate, if you haven't already then pay the man. You never know when you're gonna want a favour and if you have a reputation of not paying your way then know one will want to help you - i certainly wouldn't .

well done mate, getting there? have you considered efi? as alot of people go to the hassle of loom change for mfi then go efi after for the reliability and tuning options?

thank you both and chop...

all you need to remember is that its ALL in the prep work...the more time u spend making sure its all prepped the nicer it'll come out.. i waited for about 3 weeks before spraying mine..me n my mate did the paintjob , during that 3weeks i was driving the car around with no paint on, it was just the 2 of us AND we didnt have an orbital sander so it took longer than it should have..but i just got fed up in the end and just banged the paintjob out...the actual painting stage only took about 45mins but looking back as hard as it was to just wanting to get the car sprayed up im glad i waited and painted it when the car was prepped fully. before spraying the car when u do urs make sure when your ready to do it u test how the spray comes out of the gun on a diff surface and the air mixture is right otherwise you'll have orange peel and when the paint it dry thers alot of 1500 wet dry/compound and polish which takes the piss!

if ya need any advice leme know il be more than happy 2 help and dont forget to take pics when u do urs

Yeah I've painted a few things, few panels and engine bays etc, but thats easy because it can all be done in a day.
The thing i am worried about is micro blisters if you dont get it all done in one day without having any from of heat to keep the moister out of the primer.

helloo alll its been a while havent done any updates in a while so here i am!

well i was on the way to an interview and the engine finally gave in..

this is how it looked for the last time!!

started stripping out the old engine and parts..

my baby's bleeding

manifold and exhaust off

got some mates to help strip the car

the beggining of the collection that came out the car!

popped the driveshafts out

dashboard out

gear selector out

dont know what i was doing here

old loom out!

still minty behind the fusebox

most of the engine accessories outt so the engine is ready to pop out!

my mate lost the chain to hoist the engine out so we hadta improvise

engine out!!!

got a bit bored started messing around

then ended up pulling out the jet wash and getting all that grime out

cleaned out the wheel arches tooooo

did a quick jet wash underneath the car..look how much dirt came out

pretty good condition!

then today took the rest of the bits off and started prepping for an engine bay respray

some more random pics

some other lil projects that i got on the side

my mates car hes jus keeping it at mine while hes away at uni...jap is crap

evrything stripped outt

engine number 2 sitting there doing nothing

prepping begins

prepping the gunnnn

compreessor we used

some more close up pics

mixing up the painnt

started the spraying

sozz about the millions of pics i just got a bit camera happy but the engine bay has come out sooo nice i didnt even wanna do it but my mate convinced me he sed it'l b worth it and omg it totally was!

i know i wanted my engine in asap but its better to wait and do it properly then just bung it inn right?

well thats all folks

looking good mate but for 2mins extra work i would have masked the clips or removed them, same goes for the belt cover and the brake clyinder and all the other little engine bits as they will just be covered in overspray now!

what about the rest of the car did you cover that as well?!

fairplay for doing it though.
