The shell has been totaly restored to what i think is the highest of standards
it is still in bareshell form but the rebuild will start reall soon
Andy the guy who done the restoration is a true proffesional
Anyway on with the pictures
Thank you fezza
Im just sorting through parts to be sent off for powdercoating and zincing
Have 2 cars in bits at the minute so alot of cleaning and sorting to make sure i have the best for this shell and the rest will be sold with my other shell
Thanks Mark
Stunning ,fantastic work there ,where abouts is the guy based and what sort of money did he charge
Hello Twins
I bought the shell as it is from a guy called Greg from cornwall
A friend of his Called Andy done all the restoration he restores some very pricey oldskool stuff
Let me know if you want his number
Thanks Mark
christ!!!
hell of a lot of work, but great to see it saved from scrap mate.well done.keep pics coming
Thanks Rick
But to be honest mate if you took any unrestored s1 with 100k on and stripped it then had it shotblasted you would have the same amount of work if you wanted done to a mint standard
Probably a days welding if idea was to put an mot on it lol
Thanks Again Mark
wow that has got to be the crispiest shell i have ever seen but well done the work you have done is excellent stuff but i can see your car is on a dataliner jig so why have you used bits of welded steel as datum points 4 the front legs instead of the laser alignment gear the jig came with

Hi Andy
You lost me with dataliner jig
But i never done the restoration on the car i bought already done
The guy that did the work is from your part of the country (Plymouth) and his name is Andy (was it You)lol
The car looks fantastic, although i must ask, what made you carry on when you discovered just how much work was needed?
The shell was the average unrestored S1 shell Stavros
If you stripped one then sent it to be blasted it would have as much if not more rust than mine
Just the the guy who done the work got rid of as much rust as possible
