its been pressed from a thinner metal , thus meaning the press lines in the highlights are slightly diffrent to the drivers one ,
on 99% of mk 3's this woulndt be an issue , and tbh most folk wouldnt notice or see the diffrence ,
but k does , and therefore he wont fit it , so i have to buy -find - steal or swap till i find an eairler pressed version that hes happy with
not prepared to sacrifice quality at this point , if i have to ill buy 2 gen wings and put the car in storage ,

Now andy the probelm lies with the swage lines that match the door they are thinner and arent the straightest compared to the door now to alot of people it wouldnt matter maybe but when its painted it will stand out totally and you no this is no good for this car. hope this helps...

went over to garage yesterday to have a cuppa with k ,stressed over the wing is a under statement ,as beefy got the job held up now !!

ok folks , lil update on the situation
its currently 11:56 pm , ive this minuite walked thru the door after an epic 6 hr round trip to collect the new wing from dave (daveysaff )
left work at 4 pm , by the time ig go sorted ect and collected the missus ( co -pilot )
we set off at 5:30 pm ,
made birkinhead in good time , davey is just a diamond welcomed us in with open arms , his lil girl is just adorable
anyway bit of a natter , swaped wings , brew had and it was off we go !
used the oppertunity to swing by and c a mate from the usa , quick tem min catch up and bk on road .
made it back to k's by 11:30 where he was told to try the wing , i know i wouldnt sleep if he didnt ,
anyway verdict is -
PERFECT !!!
spesh happy , beef happy , anne marie - tired but happy
top result ,
so its bk on track , k going to base up the inside and get on with fitting tomorrow
chuffed to bits , really cant thank dave enough for his genorosity in offering in the first place , and how me turnign up at 8:30 pm wasnt an issue ,
hope you enjoyed the parmo mate !!!!

ok , just popped in karls , hes been busy today with other things, but the inside of the wings now based up and clamped into position
the new wing
gaps looking well
k said they will be fitted up tomorrow , then its bonnet off , and filler primer the bay ready for the final flat before basecoat !!!
