Return of B8 COS updated
Finally my engine build is starting tommorrow
Was away picking the block and head up on friday along with new shells etc.
I have a few pics and will up date tommorrow.
All thinfs well the engine will be in the car in a few weeks for running in.
Head as been reconned and skimmed to raise comp ratio a bit
Picked up new ACL race bearings.

power wont be increased dramatically on this engine as Im scared it breaks again
A nice round 500 ATW with a improvement in lots of other areas if what Im after.

Was thru at AVA today helping with my engine build.
Got most of the bottom end done, the head will be on tomorrow along with sump etc.
We are using a new style cometic fusion triple layer gasket with seperate sealing rings.
Along with some new 12mm long studs all the way from Sweden.

Pistons in
Main caps and rods done.

I think what he is trying to say Mike is that (as far as i rememeber) they havent seen this engine det on the rollers and that they would maybe rather see debt occur so they can adjust it back to a safe point just before the det.
Could be wrong though as im far from knowledgeable(sp) on this subject.

Blimey that got me going for a second, I remember B8 COS when it was on my friends Cossie as below! Nice work btw looks like a proper build in the making!

Looking good Euan better watch what your doing or Scott will be wanting you up there working on his car, must be one of the quickest turnarounds yet. .
