Yeah well, i dont really expect them to let me buy any, but it´s worth the try! I am in the US now, so I don´t really know exactly when they´re gonna take it to the dyno, yet

Well, we hope to be able to max out the present turbos and injectors, and that equals about 2100hp, but a lot of stuff can still go wrong.
We´ll just have to see what we encounter as we go along with it...and if it for some weird reason hit a wall at, for instance 1600hp, it still is more than needed....

2100hp that is mad lol you will defo need alot of spare tyres for the rear lol and it would be nice to see the car come to England to ford fair or central day at Santa pod or even the classic ford show?

Dynopack, "rolling road" session booked for oktober 25th!
I dont think the odds for betting on that the dyno will surrender before the car is worth using your money on... :P

Beeing in a mad state of mind does not have to be a bad thing, All the lads in this forum is proof of that
Thanks mate, now we just hope to get to SHOW IT OFF , soon, not just talk and photos!
The dyno test the 25th I am looking forward, to, fingers crossed no gremlins halt us

No major problems at all today! Everything worked perfect and nothing is broken turbos are to big tough it seems, but it can still be tweaked quite a bit more, but we will deal and decide uppon that later. Cams need some adjustments, if we decide to change our minds and go for more torque as the current "strategy" has been to kill as much torque as possible.
We did not push the limits. This was a very good test and testimony to our engineering of the car It did 930hk at 1 bar which is a little higher than expected , as we expected 1 bar on e85 shold give around a 1000hp, so now we know it will overshoot 1000hp at 1 bar with e85 with good margin. As we moved on the the turbos seemed a tad to big to go all the way, but the dyno survived and the car survived and and the same time set a new record for this dyno. Decieded to not push further due to pump gas and cam adjustments. All inn all perfect day! And BIG creds to all involved
Ended up on 1280hk on pump gas and 6900rpm, but engine was still WAY on its way up, but due to pump gas and some slight ignition blow outs we called it a day there. 9500 rpm is our mechanical engine red line.
So still some to come. E85 will jump it to 1500hp instantly max boost was 1.6, and we felt this was the limit of pump gas for the compression we run.
Very happy that EVERYTHING works well and roughly according to plan
Vids on facebook page somtime tonight, i HOPE!

Chevy engine parts on a Ford just don't mix though, almost every fast Chev has a Ford part on it (9'' diff)
what are the plugs gapped at? E85 will love the CDI.

Whilst many dont like them, the worlds fastest LS uses them, runs 6.8 or so at 200mph and they seem to work fine.
That said, there are plenty of guys running 7's and 8's on the standard coils.
or as mentioned in email, the IGN-1A are supposed to be superb, easily on par with CDI. Again, there are pro-mod cars running 200+ using them

What happened the MSD LSx coils ?

The LSX coils currently employed are standard GM coils, but according to FAST ,they are MSD ones without the red paint. The previous red ones was replaced with the current black ones, due to more convenient packaging and a more sober colour(actually!!)

Wrong firmware in the cdi box giving insufficient dwell , it misfired at little above 1268HP , so it was an easy fix.

So the spark problem was with the LSx coils, or where did the MSD CDI box come into it ?

what was the dwell set on the coils?
the factory Ford COP is also very good, i know a few guys in the US running them up to 30psi and there is a guy here in Oz using them with a Kenne Bell Boost-a-Spark, runs methanol and 30psi.

alot of CDI's do the same, the fastest 2JZ in the world runs 6.38@224 methanol and 50+psi uses the factory Toyota COP coils and a M&W CDI.

Have you tried the coils directly off the ecu without the external box ?
I havent heard of anyone using any sort of boxes with the LS coils. Although some guys do run a basic voltage booster on their electrical system ( only to 16v though )
I know that the IGN-1A definitely doesnt need any extra

what spark plug leads, plugs (heat range), spark plug gap, timing are you running? that can have a huge impact also, it may not even be the coil (though id say it is). NGK's and Autolite are usually the best with the modulars. gapped at around 20thou (half a mm). the modulars don't like too much timing. 1.6 bar is a good amount of boost to run on pump gas. our fuels here in Australia best is 98-octane we can get around 23psi with about 18 degrees timing. u guys might have a better octane fuel.

Mad engine scientist
We've built several road cars here running just over 30 psi / 16º timing on US 93 octane /99 RON pump gas. Not modulars though, but then again I killed off a bit of the swirl ramp in the chamber on Joel's heads so the chamber design is not far off those other engine chambers..
